Excellent
I needed a stat to control the heat in my shed but only for a short time while some epoxy set using a small fan heater. I also needed the humidity to be as low as possible. I set the temperature to max 15°C and 12°C minimum. Frankly I didn’t have much hope of keeping to these temperatures. While the weather was well below 10°C outside the stat performed superbly and maintained a temperature of 14°C average over a 24 hour period. The shed is well insulated and I didn’t have to deal with higher temperatures outside but for this exercise the stat performed brilliantly.Update; The stat is controlling the heat in the shed which is helping with the humidity. Continues to be very effective and accurate. Excellent purchase.

Switching off the alarm
I bought this in October 23. I had issues setting this thermostat up as the first remote thermostat control didn’t work but I had bought two plugs and eventually managed to set the second one up to control two sockets supplying my conservatory heaters. The thermostat is unnecessarily complex setting an upper and lower level and if you don’t use the wired probe socket then instead of the ambient temperature display you get code Err. Crazy. However the worst is the alarm function. It is factory set to disable ie default. After changing batteries, the control unit went into alarm mode. The instructions tell you to get to the High /low page ie press Set, the hold Set. 3sec…then keep pressing the up/down button until OF displayed. What it should tell you is on high setting press the UP button until OF displayed , and THEN go to Low and press the down button until OF displayed. I contacted on line Digiten and they responded immediately and indicated a helpful you tube video .

Quality item, perfect for the job.
Just what I needed to keep my homemade bottle-conditioned ale at the right temperature. My regular fridge chills the beer too much for my liking; it's also full of food most of the time. So I bought a special drinks chiller. Even that has a maximum temperature of 10°C, which is still too low for my liking. I prefer it to be in the range 12°C to 15°C. I needed this thermostat to set the correct temperature range. The remote temperature sensor sits inside the chiller and communicates with a thermostat on the mains socket, into which the chiller is plugged. So as soon as 12°C is reached the fridge goes off. When the temperature has climbed to 15°C it starts chilling again. It works perfectly and I can change the temperature range to whatever I like. For instance, I could set it a lot colder for Champagne if I needed it for a party. I recommend this device.

Thermostat not workin
I purchased this item to measure the temperature in my attic where solar equipment is operating. I wanted to know in the peak summer months what the temperature was and to have this info remotelyIt never worked properly and looking at returning it (if poss) or binning it

DAFT DESIGN FOR WHAT IS A SIMPLE THERMOSTAT
This is the daftest design for a thermostat I've ever come across. Normlly you set the threshold temp and the heating turns on if the room is below this, and off when it rises bove this. For cooling you just need to select a cooling mode which does the opposite. Not so with this thermostat. You have to set both a switch on temp and a switch off temp. For example, I have mine set to turn on a heater when th room temp is below 17C. Once above this temperature the heater doesn't turn off as with a 'normal' thermostat. So I have to set the switch off temperature as well, in my case to 19C.The consequence of this silliness is that I often have to adjust both settings rather than just one. I find it irritating and am tempted to return it for a conventional thermostat.

Does exactly what I need it to
I have a log burner and have fitted a 100mm ducting with an inline fan through the ceiling joists to the landing upstairs to move the hot air around to heat the whole house. I have set this to turn on the fan when the temperature by the fire gets above 24*c and then when the temperature drops down below 22*c it will turn off again. I never have to worry about it, it does everything I need it to do.Definitely recommend.

Not the easiest device to set up
I think the supplier needs to give more instruction particularly on setting up to prevent the area it is to operate in from freezing and cut off when temperature rise removes the threat of freezing
