The platonic ideal of a silicone stopper.
I bought these for mead-making. While I haven't used them for this purpose yet (the mead is still in primary) these stoppers are exactly what I was hoping for. They're perfectly formed, dense but not too hard, and have no detectable smell or flavor (unlike natural rubber) and should be hypoallergenic. The #6 stopper fits the mouth of one-gallon Carlo Rossi wine jugs perfectly. Decided to sanitize my jugs for storage today. With the stopper held in place gently with the thumb, even the most violent shaking couldn't induce a leak. The 'drilled' stoppers fit my airlocks nicely. I'm looking forward to actually working with these!I did notice, as others have, that the stopper will work its way out of the neck of the bottle if it's wet. My solution for this was to soak a bar towel with sanitizing solution, wring it out completely, then use the slightly damp towel to dry both the stopper and the mouth of the jug. Several hours later, the stoppers are still lodged tightly enough that I can lift the (empty) jug by the stopper. Yet they're still easy to remove.Perfection!

Good quality silicone, 11/10 would buy again.
These are exactly as described and fit 5 gallon glass carboys very well. It's nice to have 3 with holes and 3 without, as this allows for storage for wine in which camp den has been added to stop fermentation, without having to worry about having a fermentation lock for those vessels.Make sure to wash, and very thoroughly dry them before inserting them into the carboy.Any dust or water on the outside of them, or in the neck of the carboy, will cause them to push themselves out of the carboy. This is normal for a silicone stopper. If it is properly cleaned and dried it makes a very good seal. I've (accidentally) blocked a fermentation lock, and these will hold a small amount of pressure inside of the vessel.

Silicone Rubber, I should have expected the issue.
Stoppers came quick enough after ordering. And they are pretty much exactly as described. So no issue with delivery, Amazon, or the seller. They fit in the 1 gallon jugs I have perfectly... when they are dry. Let one little bit of moisture get on the stopper and they won't stay in. In fact, even though the upper diameter is much larger than my jug opening, I pushed it all the way into the jug. Hmm. I think latex or rubber stoppers might be a better choice for me since I don't need the heat resistance silicone might give.

Good, but half had no center hole
Met my needs well but 2 stoppers had the center hole and 2 did not. (That didn’t matter to me either way since I was using fat screws down the center to mount them on a surface.)

Just go to their website.
Go to the Widgetco website. Waaaayyyy cheaper and way more options. Also.. silicone sucks. It always loses grip for me, I use the gum or neoprene corks which are like 1.50 a piece. Free shipping too!
