I have been able to recreate my favorite Thai, Malaysian and Indonesian foods using these spices at home. I know chefs seem to recommend using fresh spices, but with these excellent powdered spices you really don't need to. I live in a small town in which I don't have access to fresh kaffir lime leaves or galangal, so I thought I was just settling for second best, but I would use these spices even if I had access to fresh. I will definitely order these spices again and order other items from this company.

Wr tried to find fresh kaiffer lime leaves and gallengal all over NJ but failed. We ordered this duo hoping to finally make tom yum soup at home. We thought even if we fail, we wouldn't be losing big bucks. But these two are EXCELLENT alternatives. U wont feel even the slightest bit of difference in using the powder in lieu of the fresh ingredients. Must have for all thai food fans

I was concerned because some other spices from this seller were less flavorful than the old ones I was replenishing...these were flavorful. Yay.
