Great way to carry and use a laptop hands free
I recently started work as a US Census worker and was issued a laptop to use when going door-to-door. This laptop harness and sleeve bag has been indispensable for me! The shoulder and bottom straps are fully adjustable, and I've been able to easily adjust the holder where I need it. the sleeve pocket has been great for me to keep my Census paperwork while going door-to-door. When I'm finished, I can also slip the laptop into the sleeve case, zip it up and carry everything over my shoulder. The biggest challenge has been taking it off. However, unlatching the 2 bottom hooks has worked out best for me to easily slip off, and leave mostly intact for my next door-to-door adventure. The laptop I'm using is 13" with the case, and there is plenty of room inside the sleeve pocket, as well as on the top on the carrying shelf. There is not a lot of extra room on the shelf, but that's good for me, because it means the laptop stays in place fairly well, even when I need to bend down and leave a notice under a door mat. I am 5'5 and 115 pounds, but this also adjust for my husband, who is 5'10" and 160 pounds. One of the people I visited was impressed enough he said he might get one for himself!

Cool design, nice size, horrible craftsmanship on strap fasteners.
Loved this bag the first three times I used it. Fourth day I put it on, I heard a pop and the bag fell to the ground with my laptop in it. It was the mesh loop that holds the strap in place — it ripped right in half. Gentle use, way below the weight capacity, and it broke within one week of use. Typically I ride a bike to work but that week I hadn’t — if I had, my computer would be toast. Sad to say I can’t honestly recommend this bag due to a manufacturing failure that made it fail at its single most important job.

Makes (almost) the best out of an awkward way to use a laptop
I was pleasantly surprised at the workmanship on this laptop harness, as well as its (apparently) steel frame for ruggedness. Obviously, no one would use a laptop on a harness unless they had to, but it worked reasonably well. I could adjust it to "me". Nice bonus is that you could actually use it to carry your laptop or papers, but there is likely no room for the charger. All that said, as others have noted, the fabric 'desk' totally obscures the cool air intake on the bottom of the laptop. So your laptop _will_ run hot. Might not damage the laptop (but some/many laptops throttle speed if they get too hot).Sure, one could probably put a sturdy piece of cardboard or plastic under the laptop, but (a) that might look tacky, and (b) at this premium price, I would have thought one would have been included.Best of luck :)

As crazy as it looks, it actually works really well!
I used this as part of a project testing GPS gear in the field (literally: in fields, stomping over grass and through mud). This product let me carry a laptop around hands-free while toting a GPS antenna in one hand and typing with the other. To the casual observer, when it's not being used it looks like - and can be used as - a laptop briefcase. The harness that you wear turns into a somewhat complicated looking shoulder strap. The product is big enough to carry my laptop, with a second zippered compartment for the charger and other gear. With some minor reconfiguration, the shoulder strap turns into the harness that allows you to wear the case in front of you, with your laptop sitting on top of it. It looks kinda crazy, but it worked quite well for me, and I've never seen anything quite like it.

Rusted D-Rings
This is overall a great product, it functions well, and is sturdy. I think the D-rings that are on the corners could be on the short edge of the corner to avoid rubbing on the computer and scratching it.However, the D-Rings have a bit of rust on the product I received. This creates a small concern of the longevity of this product as I typically maintain my accessories for as long as they’ll function.

Useful for all sorts of things
When I ordered this, I thought I was just getting something to place a laptop or laptop-shaped item atop, but I was surprised to find out it also has a very spacious interior to store things in, as well as a pouch for smaller items, and I've already gotten a lot of use out of both of these features.I got this so I could do creative writing on walks. Of course I feel a little dorky walking through nature and typing on my word processor at the same time, but it's actually worked really well and I've been averaging about 250 words per walk, which is great efficiency- due to a hectic work schedule, I basically have to fit writing into breaks. This has been great for that!

The laptop falls out when using in the portable desk mode
I hoped this would work while walking, but there is nothing to hold the laptop from sliding out. On the trackpad side there are two elastic bands, that barely hold a 13" laptop. There is nothing on the other side of the laptop to stop it from sliding that direction. If the laptop slides at all towards the screen side of the carrier, the trackpad side comes out of the loops and the laptop is just sitting there on the bag. The next movement and it falls to the ground.

on the fence
First let me say I have something to compare it to because one of my previous contracts had one specifically designed for auditors for ergonomics and ease of use (if i was a thief i would have kept mind after i left :)); In no way does this product compare but it is the next best thing on the marketPros: convenient way to carry laptop during my site visits so I can record my notes, and transmit reports in real timeCons: when carrying as a case, the zippered pouch is upside down because of poor tailoring, is it a deal breaker probably not since i didn't buy it for the case; what may be a deal breaker is there is nothing in place to keep it from slipping out of the back when carrying it like desk, my fear is one wrong misstep and it will go crashing to the floor, will look for other alternatives, a bit awkward but you get used to it
