Great quality light
Outstanding focusable light. The color temp can pass as an underwater video light. Not to warm or cold with a fairly broad spectrum. Distribution on wide angle is good but not as good as a fixed focus video light. There are slight variations due to the focus mechanism but they can only be detected against a wall or other uniform surface. Under water when filming wildlife the light is completely even. Spot mode is bright. Strong enough as a primary but small enough as a secondary. Still keep in mind that it is 1K lumen so the wide has limited reach underwater compared to a dedicated high power video light.

Great for pass throughs, caves.
Smallest light I could find that can go from spot to flood for those times when you're in close and spot is just too much in the Hotspot and making it dark in the spill.Flood allows a very nice total illumination. The small Tovatec light that only has spot has a tad brighter Hotspot than this one, but this one is bigger.Match your cameras whitebalance to about 6 - 6.5k and it will look great.I put mine on a light duty retractible string and tuck it in above my front weight pockets.

Great recreational light
All things considered (size, power, durability) the best light I’ve used for diving. I’ve used it on about 20 dives, day and night. You will find it a bit underwhelming at first but I’m sure you will find that it is the perfect amount of light for a rec diver (above 130 feet). I still give it five stars all day but be sure to charge the battery to full before a night dive. When I use it constantly for night dives, the battery indicates red after 50 or so minutes which stresses me out but it hasn’t died before the tank. Recommend a spare charged battery for back to back dives. Big takes: perfect size, perfect power (great for looking in crevasses and not scaring octopus), the quality is what you would expect (feels right, acts right). The modulating function is useless, I always use the narrow function
