Poem on the Underground
I have yet to read this book of poetry. I admit that but there is one of Katherine's poems on the tube which I thought was just fantastic...'The Way We Go'...it stopped me in my tracks with its incredible imagery and metaphor. I will be buying this book..And so I did.The book is one of my favourite poetry books. The fall from the page as fat and juicy as a tadpole raindrop, landing in a muddy puddle, at once realised but destroyed in the moment of creation...How she sends shocks through me with each subtle line.Recommended for those who like emotive poetry.

Lacking substance
Given the pedigree of Picador as a publishing house, I was really expecting something more from this slim volume. There is precious little substance to the writing. Too many of the poems feel like fragments or half-developed ideas. There is little to challenge the reader, little to make them view things from a fresh perspective.I was left cold by this collection. It felt under-written, too insubstantial to be worthy of much attention. It was a disappointment. Picador clearly see something in her as a poet. It is a shame that the poems chosen do not readily demonstrate her potential.
