I use white vinegar for fabric softener and I use 1 Tbsp of SalSuds per load. If I have a fresh stain I've put a little on the stain and either wash it then or I"ve also put it aside until I"m ready to wash it in a full load. I don't know about stains that are old and set in. **Q: I'm conflicted as to get it again for showering but what is recommended for body-washing?** A: This product is not really meant for using on your body as it is pretty strong and would really dry out your skin.
