lose foreign threads
looks great but the treads are not NPT. I used 12 wraps of teflon and pipe dope to get it to feel tight..? I will update once pressurized...crossing my fingers.

Water valve
Works great for shutting off the water in the shower.

All 4 leaked at junction with 1/2 inch male thread. Garbage.
Bought 4 to have shut-offs in two bathrooms. Installed and they leaked at threads. Using both teflon tape AND Blue Monster made no difference; they still leaked. All four had to be cut out and copper redone to put simple shutoffs inside the wall behind covers.Do not but these terrible products in hope of having nice looking water shutoff valves protruding through the tile.

Hard to seal up
Good valves but the threads are cut too deep and are difficult to seal up. I have lots, and lots, and lots more experience chasing and sealing NPT threads! These took 3 tries!

Cannot get a seal with shower faucet.
It seems the threading is a little too narrow. I have gone through 3 or 4 gaskets trying to get a seal and cannot. As a last resort, I filled it with silicone and it still comes loose. I have fixed many showers/sinks and never ran into a problem like this.

Item received was not as pictured. Had to send back.
I bought two of these as a pair and they were fine. Then I needed one more that was to be installed right next to the other pair but the one that just came which I am now reviewing was different than the first two and not as pictured on Amazon so I had to return it and try again from another vendor.

Leaky valve
This valve leaks no matter how you tighten it.
