Otis is the best escape artist I've ever known. He has EXTREME separation anxiety. I rescued him back in December. His first cage was the typical wire cage which, I THOUGHT, was heavy-duty and sturdy and well-made (which, it was) but I had no idea what Otis was capable of! He completely destroyed the plastic tray at the bottom of the first cage. I was at my wits end with all his escaping and destroying. I came across this indestructible cage, and I read the reviews. Some of them did concern me in that some dogs have still gotten out of this cage and also hurt themselves in the process. But I was so desperate to try to make things work, I ordered it. Once it arrived and I unpacked it, I was a bit confused with it; however, the instructions were good, and I was able to get it put together within 30 minutes. I was impressed with how heavy duty it seemed, and I thought, there's no way he's getting out of this. But I still had my doubts due to some of the reviews and because I know how determined Otis is and how aggressive he is with chewing and destroying things when I'm not there. The next morning, I put him in it and locked it, praying he wouldn't somehow bust through it. When I got home, the apartment was clean, and he was still in the cage! If I'd had champagne, I'd have popped the top and celebrated! Even though it seemed to work the one day, I was still slightly doubtful because it had only been one day. Then, one day turned into a week without any escapes. Now it's been nearly a month, and he WILLINGLY goes in! I think his go-to was/is digging his way out through the bottom. Well, he can't do that with this cage because of how it's designed and because I reinforced it with zip ties which were provided with the cage. And he's tried. Oh, he's tried. I know because there were times his bed was scrunched back from digging. Also, I appreciate the wheels very much! I almost didn't install them because I figured I could slide the cage on the carpet; however, I ended up installing them and was glad I did because it glides across the carpet with ease if I need to move it. While the wheels make it easy to maneuver the cage, the cage is heavy enough that the dog can't move it. (He'd moved his wire cage from point A to point B in escaping). Otis isn't as reluctant and doesn't seem as anxious to get into this cage. Today, I didn't even have to guide him by the collar to get inside. I'm not entirely sure why this is but I'm thankful. Sometimes he'll get all the way in for a couple of seconds and then walk back out while I'm at home, and he didn't do that with his first cage. I'd tried everything I could. He destroyed his first cage. He destroyed the bathroom door and other things in the bathroom when I had to keep him in there during the transition from his first cage to this cage. No matter how bare I left the bathroom, he always found something to destroy. And if there was any way he could escape, he'd do it and create mass destruction. This cage saved my sanity and my dog from being rehomed where he most likely would have ended up back at the pound. TL;DR: Pros: *Extremely sturdy *Solid *Smart design (particularly regarding the bottom of the cage) *Easy to set up *Wheels make it easy to maneuver cage *Excellent for my dog who is an expert escape artist, an aggressive chewer, and leaves mass destruction upon escaping---HE CAN'T ESCAPE THIS ONE! Cons: *I have none! Do I recommend this cage? 1,000%! YES! Do it. Buy it. It'll be worth it.

Great crate! We have a 105 lb. German Shepherd rescue that has occasional anxiety issues at night. On our previous wire crates, his pushing actually bent the wire and warped the door so badly we needed to replace it. This crate is STRONG and there is no way our dog, despite his strength, can bend the bars. It is slightly narrower than our other wire crates, but he easily turns around in it. It was very easy to assemble, but it did take two people so hold parts still so that the hardware went in straight. I love the wheels! I can reposition the crate easily even with him in it. It looks great but does sort of look like a prison when the crate cover is removed out of the way of the door ;). If you have puppies, the door on top would be a great way to get them in without running out of the front door. Note that if you put the wheels in place, the dog will need to step up into the crate 5 inches. If your dog has mobility issues, I'd keep the crate on the floor to avoid the step up. There is a handy tray under the crate for easy cleaning of messes (for pups or dogs with incontinence problems). Doors open smoothly and are wide enough to let even very large dogs inside with ease. This was expensive, but way cheaper in the long run as it was our second wire crate that he destroyed! He's a great dog, just very strong. If you have a dog like ours, don't hesitate to purchase this.

Is a pretty good Cage For a Dog that tried to Escape My Bf Dog Have a Anxiety When she alone at the house she mix with Blue healer N Corgi she really smart dog N for just a few hours can't leave her alone when we go to the store She Destroys stuff poop and pee and We use to had a Wired Cage she Destroys the Tray from the bottom and Escape and she bites the Wired so it was time to get her a new Cage that she won't Escape when me and my bf go out to do Stuff so I found this Heavy Duty Cage it was my first time getting her a Cage it turned out Good I put a video camera to see how she gonna react when we where out the house her first attempt was biting the bar and then the second attempt was the bottom Tray Couldn't Do it so she started making loud sounds until she give up and waited for us to come home to let her out she did a great job and she Couldn't Escape from the new Cage and it been over a weeks and she still doing good on a Cage we only lock her up when we need to go somewhere and other then that the Cage is a life Saver I really recommended this heavy Duty Cage And didn't thought the Cage would be so huge lol but love this Cage also it came with wheels but I didn't put any wheels on the Cage it wasn't necessary for my bf but 100% recommend it for large dog or small dog

We did a lot of research before finally picking this crate & the time and effort was worth it! Recently one of our dogs passed away and it left our other dog sad and very anxious anytime we left him alone. He missed his best friend so much and turned to us to replace his buddy. We have a huge backyard with plenty of room to run & play with a very nice dog house for him to rest in and plenty of chew toys to keep him occupied while we are gone. It took him only fifteen minutes to chew through our redwood gate into a side yard. The next time left alone it took him 30 minutes to chew through the next gate leading into the refuse can side yard & pushing his way through what we thought was a very secure front gate into our driveway area. I arrived home and found him sitting near the gate in our front yard. This was terrifying because we live on a corner of a relatively busy 4 way stop. Concerned for his safety and also the safety of others driving by if he ran out into the street causing an accident, we decided that he would need to be crated when we had to leave him even if it was only a short time. He is very sweet & gentle, but obviously very strong when anxious! This crate with a soft, but durable pad (that is wash & dry ok) is comfortable and roomy enough for him. We throw in a few toys and a full water bowl secure the latches & we come home to find him safe and secure and happy to see us! This crate looks very nice, is built very well, sturdy with now sharp edges to cut your dog, easy to assemble with wheels if you choose to have it mobile. There is also a catch pan underneath the floor that slides out for easy cleaning. Highly recommend this for anyone with a pup that is an escape artist when left alone. Also for the quality you get the price is quite reasonable!

My 97 pound Great Pyrenees/Aussie mix was “uncontainable” in regular cages. He managed to get out of everything! He’d rip it apart like it was made of paper, but he HAS to be in a crate when we aren’t home because the gets anxious and then gets destructive. I was super reluctant to spend so much money without being able to see it with my own eyes in person, but out of desperation, I did so and hoped it would be worth it. Truly, this was just what we needed. Just enough room for him to lay comfortably, but not enough for him to find a way out. It’s STRONG steel, and he can’t even bend it, let alone destroy it like his old crate. For the few hours a week he’s alone, we now know he’s safe and so is our furniture!

**** update. Well it’s been 2 months and one of the wheels already broke off. Literally broke off and the bolt that screws up in the cage is stuck in the whole no matter what I do or what I use i can’t get it out so I can’t even replace the wheel if I could figure out what to replace it with as it says NO where what size the wheel pins are or what a replacement could be. But if I could figure it out I would want wheels bigger I think. These are tiny wheels for an 80lb cage plus a dog! Very very disappointing The seller did contact me and is making it right! So excellent seller! Much appreciated for the help since this is only 2 months old and I only have a 30lb dog in it. So I am happy the seller is helping me with the problem with making it right. So I overall guess I would recommend this crate Original post…. So far so good. This is my second crate that Is indestructible and the first one ( by a different company) was not. She chewed the paint off the bars and they all rusted and the wheels al broke off SO I’m trying this brand. So far it’s been a few weeks and it’s holding up to her. She’s got separate anxiety so she needs something strong but safe. She’s only a 30 lb Australian shepherd but she becomes a 200lb bear when left alone. As I said I have to move it around often so the wheels have to hold up and so far so good with that also. It was not hard to put together. I did it by myself. Fingers crossed on this one!

I have a75 pound staffy and she has broke out of two previous kennels. This prison cell has done the trick. No bent bars, no escape attempts, and Journey stays put now. Quality built, assembles easily, and easy to clean.

We almost returned these because we had decided not to crate train our pups, but I am SO glad we changed our minds! Let’s start with how easy it was to put them together. We got home from our vacation and figured we’d start the next day, but when our house/petsitter told us he’d had our 1-year-old Pitt mix sleeping in the garage and our 10-week-old blue heeler/german shepherd mix caged into a room by himself, we decided that we may as well start before they got a chance to sleep in our bed again. I REALLY didn’t want to try to assemble this thing after 2 days of driving, but I dragged the super heavy box into the living room and got started. I think it took me half an hour to assemble the first one, including the time it took me to look at the instructions and to fix the wheels when I realized I’d put one of the front wheels on the back. The walls come connected on 3 sides with the bottom on one side, so you just have to unfold them and connect the 2 sides and the bottom. I thought the top was going to be a lot harder to put on, but again, I was pleasantly surprised. All in all, it took me less than an hour to fully assemble both crates, despite how tired I was. Next, these things are both SERIOUSLY heavy duty! My pittie is a chewer, so one on my biggest concerns was that he would tear up his face trying to chew his way out of the crate, which is an experience we had with another dog and another “heavy duty” crate. There is NO WAY my dog could chew through these bars! Granted, it does look like I’ve got 2 mobile prison crates in my yard, but it’s worth it to know my pup isn’t going to tear up his face. Finally, the size is perfect! My pitt is about 80 lbs, and he’s got room to spare. There is plenty of room for him to move around and eat, even when we put his huge bed inside. When my kids asked what they were, I joked that they were their new beds, and we all had a good laugh, but then they spent most of the next day playing in the crates! It’s been a couple of weeks, and I find the kids chilling in the crates while they watch their tablets and cuddle with the dogs. A few days in, I thought we had a problem when my daughter shouted to me that the dog had taken off the door. I was like, okay, here we go… But when I looked at the door, I realized that they actually come off by design, and it was pretty easy to slide them back onto the hinge. The door and the top are easy to open, but you do have to make sure the locks are lined up properly when you close them and sometimes have to push a bit harder. At the same time, I don’t think my dogs would be able to open them from the inside - not even my pitt who knows how to open baby gates… Overall, I am very happy with this purchase, and I have already sent the link to a friend who came over and really liked them. I would buy them again!

This crate is big, strong and sturdy. It opens in front and from the top and has locking wheels. We were able to put a large slab of butchers block on top to create usable space. Both our large dogs have no issues getting in and out and are very comfortable. Locks on top and bottom of the gate close ot up nice and tight. I would (and have) recommend this product.

My dog likes it because it feels more like a den, then a cage. I like it because it is easy to maneuver when cleaning. My dog cannot escape from it by damaging it. I love it and I know it will last for years.

We have a Cane Corso/Lab cross. She’s huge. She’s been an escape artist with every crate so far. Incredibly strong dog. They all end up torn apart and misshapen. NOT THIS ONE!!! 😂 Thank you for a sigh of relief.
