The Mrs and I thought we’d played Mario Kart Double Dash for the last time. We were wrong!! Just plug it in and leave on the default settings. There’s an extra bit of plastic that comes in the box, it’s a support to hold the upscaler in place. It fits in the vents on the back of GameCube. The upscaler is quite heavy for its size and can put a lot of strain on what is a 20+ year old socket so the support is a nice addition to include. As for power supply, it gets this through the HDMI lead you connect it to the TV with. Very impressed with the graphics quality. OK they’re not exactly PS5 standard, but from a console that’s 20 years old, they’re very good. The games present almost at full widescreen instead of a square picture in the middle of the TV screen. You still have a thin black border all the way around the edge of the screen but you hardly notice once you’re gaming. All in all, well impressed. Might have to look in to a similar version for my PS2 now.
