Alpine SwissMens Stefan Suede Trim Retro Fashion Sneakers

I expected just an ok pair of shoes that would work for what I wanted them for... based on other reviews I didn't get my hopes up really high but I was pleasantly surprised! I love wearing these shoes. Insoles are comfortable. The shoe breaths well. They look really cool. Awesome pair of shoes... much more comfortable than some of my other Sketchers with air-soft type insoles. Great buy! I'm actually going to order an all red pair too. Size was exactly what I needed... I wear an 11 so size was spot on.UPDATE: After only about 10 to 15 wears, a small rip or wear mark showed up on the leather. I asked seller a question about it to see if there was something they could do but no response. I'm bummed because I really like the shoes but shouldn't wear like this. I have another pair in a different color that are still doing great and I've worn them more. This was clearly a defect in this particular shoe, but no response from the seller is not good customer service. Removing 1 start for this.

I bought these as a last-minute add-on during a random Amazon shopping binge, half-expecting them to be cheap and fall apart considering how inexpensive they are. But I LOVE them. They have a Euro-sporty look and a sleek fit that goes great with straight-leg jeans and everything from well-worn T-shirts to casual button-downs. I even wear them to the gym when I'm not doing cardio and I don't want to carry around a change of shoes. I got them in every color, and then I got every color for my nephew because I'm an awesome uncle. And they're well-constructed with sturdy nylon and precise stitching ... they still look just as great as they did a year ago when I bought them.

I saw these shoes and thought they were very cute and a good price. To me, the design was suitable for women and men. I decided I would take a chance and get them. I followed a size guide online for conversions for women' to men's shoes sizes. I couldn't decide on which color I wanted, they all look pretty fun. I decided on the white because I thought they would go with more outfits. I think I liked them because they remind me of a favorite pair of sneakers I had way back in middle school.The shoes look even better than the photos. They do have a very sporty, retro kind of look to them. I love their style.They are lightweight and low profile, which I like. Some athletic/sneakers with the higher soles look too big and clunky.( I always seem to catch my foot on carpeting or stubbing my toes in those ) Like everyone, I do want shoes that look good and fit my style. However, having back problems, I am more concerned about whether the shoes will be comfortable on my back. I wore these shoes for the first time on a busy day of shopping and running errands.. finishing up with dinner out. So it was a long day of walking to test news shoes. They passed that test with no problems..They were very comfortable.and I looked smart all day in them !I especially like the construction material, I guess it's like a heavy woven nylon. I have had other shoes made of similar material so they should wash up nice in the washer and dryer.The shoe laces are longer than they need to be, but that can be easily fixed.Yes, I would recommend these shoes to my male and female friends :) Now I'd like to get a pair in the red or blue...

Bought these for my husband. He is hard to shop for, but he liked the style of these a lot. He wore them for the first time this past Saturday into Boston for our date. Within hours the sole had completely come apart from the shoe!!!! Not only were we completely disappointed but he had to finish the night with a shoe that flopped and tripped him up! Not cool!

They look nice. I got the grey ones. Fit was as expected. Sole is a bit thinner than I am used to as was the cushion material. Not as comfortable or supportive of my insole as I would hope. After about 2 weeks I noticed that a uncomfortable spot had developed on the inside-front-near where the tongue and shoe meet of the left shoe near the toe crease (front where the shoe bends). I ignored it, blaming it on the fact that I am on my feet a lot (I am a a college professor). Finally I checked. An exposed large seam had developed on the inside near the toe crease making the shoe nearly impossible to wear for extended periods of time. Now I will throw them on it I'm going to go work in the garden for a bit - but for nothing else. Had to go elsewhere and get my usual shoe (which fits and performs as usual. I would not recommend this shoe except for very light duty.

I'd never heard about Alpine Swiss until just a few days ago. These shows caught my eye in that they sort of maintain a similar style with the white band around the bottom of the shoe like my old pair did, but the color scheme is a little more "alive". The three-star review is not because I don't like them, but because this was my first time ordering new shoes online versus trying them out in a store, and I'm hesitant in how they hold up (again, I'm new to this brand, so rep is up in the air for me). Luckily, they fit just fine, the appearance is a thumbs-up, and both are very comfortable. I did notice when trying them out by a mirror, they sort of resemble bowling shoes, but not so much that someone seeing them would think "What the hell, were you that desperate for new kicks?" Anyway, pending the test of time, we'll see how well these $30 shoes hold up. Not bad for first day impressions, though.

First of all I’ll start by saying I’m a long time sneaker head. Yes, I was the guy that kept sneakers in boxes, unworn and unseen. I’m getting older and my style is changing to more chinos, slim fit , and retro European sneakers. I have a wide foot so I was afraid that these were going to emphasize that because of the canvas material but quite the opposite they look awesome!!! I’ve been spending hundreds on “certain” brands that I would trade for these any day. Packaging shows that they care about every detail. I ordered a 2nd pair and if I find them in tan, my size a 3rd. Buy them people... just not in 8.5 cause that’s my size and I need options. Btw I ordered a size 9.
