500GB PlayStation 4 Console - Destiny The Taken King Bundle

Design As a perennial console gamer since very early childhood, I have been given the opportunity to own and analyze the play and quality of many different systems. Of all the consoles to come out through the years, the Destiny PS4 is by far my favorite designed system. The white body of the console with the gold Destiny trimming, decals and a white controller is visually stimulating to all those who see it. The design gives players like you and I a sense of individuality when it comes to our product, not to mention cool points from our respective peers! Navigation If you are looking for a user friendly system, look no further than the PS4. The PS4 interface is extremely simple to navigate through, making it easy to find the different applications, settings and store. When I first had to navigate the PS4 opening screen, all the apps are lined up in chronological order by most recent use, allowing someone like me quick access to Netflix! The console gives you every options for streaming services that you can get everywhere else. This includes HBO, Hulu, Netflix, ESPN and plenty others; all of them being organized nicely under the TV folder which is along the main line of apps. Cost As of September 2017, the 500 GB Destiny edition PS4 is offered at $264 compared to the original console price of $250. Looking at the cost benefit of both products, the Destiny PS4 offers you a sleeker designed system with the very high rated game Destiny, for $14 dollars more. Even if you are not interested in playing Destiny, the benefit of getting the bundled version over the original is unquestioned. For reference, the original 500 GB Xbox 1 comes in at $264, matching the price for the Destiny Bundle. This makes the PS4 an affordable product with a vast assortment of uses for all people. Silver Lining Overall, if you are looking for a system that is user and family friendly, while also giving you a fantastic gaming experience, look no further than the PS4. The PlayStation 4 is easily the best product I have ordered from Amazon for my money. If you want a do-it-all system with the most bang for your buck, pay the extra $15 and get yourself a sleek white and gold system with an awesome game anyone and everyone can learn to play.

I would like to say that this is a stunning PS4. Now, for those reviews concerning the Destiny download, I would think you have have enough sense to downrate Destiny itself and not a PS4 console that happens to include Destiny? Obviously the people complaining haven't tried to download The Witcher or GTA V yet. Onto the console, the design straight out the box is beautiful. The white color allows for the high gloss on the top to be good, because I feel like if it was any other color it would be a fingerprint catcher. This console comes with a matching white controller, HDMI cable, typical power supply, controller charger, a pair of earphones (rather useless but I guess it's the thought that counts) and of course, Destiny the game. Upon unboxing everything Destiny will give you a 30 day free PS+ trial which is pretty sweet since you don't really want to have to pay for something right after you just slammed almost $450 bucks for a console. The only downside is the download time to play Destiny, but I'm not going to take a star off of the review because Sony did not make Destiny therefore it is not their fault and they don't deserve a review about a PS4 being put down because of non-Sony content. The Destiny download time is reasonable considering the content of the game, it just takes patience to wait it out. I think patience is what a lot of gamers nowadays are lacking which reflects on the poor reviews referring to the game. In the meantime I downloaded Far Cry 4 and it ran beautifully. No bumps, no hassles. Setup on the PS4 is so much easier than the PS3 and a lot more things can be going on in the background at once. For instance I could be watching Netflix while Destiny downloads! All in all, everything was fantastic. Kudos to Sony for making such a beautiful console and teaming up with games to make gorgeous things like this.

This is my first time purchasing any Playstation console and I am so happy with my choice, although it did cost about $40 more than the standard store price. These bundles did sell out in the small town I live in though, so I can't really complain. The one I got also came with a physical copy of Destiny which I prefer, and I got the 30 day Playstation Plus trial as well. The PS4 has a very intuitive interface, amazing graphics, and some great games. The console itself is absolutely beautiful. It's very glossy and has a stunning, intricate design. I had no opinion of Destiny before buying this bundle and honestly went in with low expectations. I ended up loving the game and play it every chance I get. It's an awesome combination of mmo, rpg, and fps, and it's in space! I love the scifi feel to it. I originally bought this bundle because I thought it looked better than the original PS4, but now I am thrilled that I own a Destiny limited edition console. The expansion packs it comes with are pretty cool too. I got to start the game at level 25 and got some nice armor. I also love the PS4 controller. I never was really a fan of the Xbox controller and I simply tolerated the Wii and Wii U designs so I could play some of my favorite Nintendo exclusive games. My favorite controller has always been the gamecube controller, and this is the best I can get with a new generation console. It integrates the touch pad well, and the colors that change along with the game is a very cool idea. I'm looking forward to spending many hours playing Destiny and will be buying more games soon. Edit: Don’t buy consoles through amazon. Mine has had nothing but problems. It stopped connnecting to WiFi about a week after I got it and now no controllers will connect to it, making it unplayable.

The Playstation 4 arrived quicker then I have expected. I was playing destiny on my husband's console, and when it was clear that I was occupying it way too much we looked into getting a ps4 system for myself as well. This limited edition version is a very beautiful console with great design. A great addition to our household entertainment. The ps4 has physical buttons, making it easier to use when putting any kind of disks in. The game took a while to download, but once it did it ran smoothly with no problems. The only issue that we ran into is the code that is supplied for the 30 day PlayStation plus was only valid until 3/31/2016. So if you are purchasing this bundle do not count on the 30 day free trial of PlayStation plus. If you are new to PlayStation plus another pamphlet included in the Destiny the Taken King lets you know that you may try PlayStation plus for 14 days free once you provide a paypal or a credit/debit card. But you must cancel the free trial before the 14th day or be charged the monthly fee for the online service. Due to the nature of the game, it makes it essential to have a subscription to Playstation plus. Now the small paper inserts with the code for Destiny was also in Spanish, not English. It was not hard to figure out what was what due to the pictures, but I thought it was strange that the language was Spanish although nothing indicated it would be so on the packaging of the product. Overall I think this was a great purchase. I hope it performs well over the next few years.

Great console! Disappointing shipping. The controller is surprisingly comfortable, after playing on a 360 controller for like 10 years it seems very intuitive and easy to get used to. Its quiet, great main menu easily navigable and a Blu ray player! Finally can watch my star wars blu rays. I look forward to the ps4 exclusives, sports games and Destiny playing in the future. I haven't had a Playstation since ps2 and glad I made the purchase. I would recommend this console edition to anyone looking to possibly get a ps4, really is a great deal for what your getting in terms of Destiny content. However I have to give it four stars. Keep in mind my review based on whole experience so far. A) I specifically asked Amazon customer support to delay the shipment by one day, because I was working that day and wasnt able to recieve the package. Well they said they would, and I show up home after work it sitting on my porch for over 5 hours (live in condo community), and it rained earlier and the box was wet. I was really mad at this, very irresponisble of Amazon. Thank god the inner ps4 box didnt get wet. B) Playstation Plus 30 day membership does not work for me. I type it in and it just keeps saying error, I look up the error on ps4 and they say "not found". Really frustrating, my 1 year PS plus isn't coming for 3 days, and was really looking forward to that. C) Download times. Unacceptable completely unacceptable. I'm not talking about downloading Destiny and it not being preinstalled or something. But to spend 3-4 hours downloading 17 gigs is atrocious. As a PCMasterrace user, 17 gigs I'm used to finishing in 20-30 min. Playstation servers need to be upgraded because its really terrible. With the next gen game size, they need to upgrade their servers. Gamers shouldn't have to wait 4 hours of dl to play a game in this day and age. D) As an old school gamer, been gaming since NES. Just I don't like the fact that you have to download games on these new consoles. I see why they do it, they can add more content, add patches easier etc.... but call me old fashioned. When it comes to consoles, I like to just put in a game disc and play. All that being said, I don't regret one bit getting the ps4. Cant wait to play Destiny all weekend!

Haven't got it yet but am hyped about this purchase as it comes with MGSV as bonus for the same price as the normal bundle! Can't beat the deal when it is a special edition console and extra goody. The current price drop in Japan might spread across the Atlantic but this is still a good deal for what it is. Finally jumped over to current gen. Update 17 Oct 2015: had it for couple of weeks and cannot be more happy with the purchase. Even with the price drop of the PS4, it is well worth the 50 premium price for this version (not to mention I got MGS5 with it...). The decal is very very well done. Not sure if it's etched on or not (unlikely) but it sure explains the premium price now. It just screams "looks at me"! This probably looks even better than the MGS5 edition in my opinion. The controller is an upgrade from the DS3 of the PS3 in every aspect. The grip is much softer and the triggers are much easier and responsive. Did I mention responsive? Going back to playing on my PS3 using the DS3 feels so much less refined. Controllers are the second most important part of a console aside from the heart and the brain and the DS4 is a worthy successor to the DS3. The only downside is the wifi. AC standard is not supported so be warned! However, even with that I still get constant 40Mbps so downloads still go very quick. Pair it up with the PS App and you can remotely push games for download as long as you have Internet access on your phone! Oh and you can also use it to input text and nevigate the menu. Nicely done here Sony. In summary ---- buy it while it is still available!!!!!!!

I'm dinging this product listing for false advertising. The PS4 is sweet and the Destiny customization is top notch. But... I do not like being mislead and lied to! The reason for my negativity... The photos show this console in a vertical orientation, resting on an OEM stand. But in truth, this console DOES NOT include the stand that is shown oh so prominently in the official product photographs. In fact, it is looking less and less likely that Sony actually makes a white stand that actually matches the white color of this console. For someone who is picky and particular about how things look, this is sort of a big deal. Amazon is now selling a separate "Glacier White" stand that is designed to match the Glacier White PS4. But that stand does not even closely match the color of the Destiny console. So yeah, I'm just a little miffed that this awesome Destiny edition PS4 doesn't have a stand that actually matches. WTF were they thinking. For $400, Sony should have included the stand. And if not, then they should at least offer one of the same color to match the console. WTB an actual WHITE PS4 stand to go with my WHITE Destiny console.

I'll try to make this review short and simple for those who are still wondering if they should purchase this bundle. First off, this is indeed the new CUH-1200 series PlayStation 4 - or C-Chassis. This model has the following new features: - Mechanical eject and power button instead of being touch sensitive in which the prior model had. In my opinion, this is WAY better as the touch sensitive would sometimes not work unless you touch it at a certain point or angle. +1 for that - Quieter by at least 15-20% compared to the older model. I had the original and sounded like a jet (over exaggerating of course), but definitely louder in comparison - Less power consumption (reduce your electric bill a few dollars) - Able to set it vertically. The previous model I noticed has vents thus if you were to put vertically, you would be blocking the air vents Now, the console itself is VERY beautiful. This is actually my first very limited edition console and I couldn't be more than happy. The art design is completely detailed and is complemented by a Glacier White Controller. If I were to say one negative thing about the package is the controller should have been designed somewhat semi-Gold to match with the console a little more, but this is if I were to be really picky. Regardless, the console is gorgeous! Of course, the package wouldn't be complete without the game, in this case Destiny: The Taken King (Legendary Edition). Inside the game case you get the following: -Vanilla Destiny (Base Game) -Code to a 30-day subscription of PlayStation Plus (which is required for you to play online) -Destiny Expansion Pass to download both previous Expansions (House of Wolves & Dark Below) -Code to download The Taken King (of course) -Upgrade to the digital collectors edition (cosmetics, weapon, etc.) -PlayStation exclusive content such as a new strike If you do not like to read, do not lower the rating based on your ignorance. DO YOUR RESEARCH PRIOR TO PURCHASING ANY ITEM. This game requires 17GB+ prior to playing due to the major update that released a few days ago including prior patches to keep your game updated. Without the update you are not going to play Destiny at all. This is an online based shooter which indeeds requires PS Plus subscription to play online. NO PS PLUS, NO DESTINY. Overall, I give this bundle an easy 5/5 especially considering most bundles that have released so far have been more than $399.99 USD.
