NO. Transmission range is most dependant upon band conditions. If the band is open, 5 watts or less can transmit from New York to Tokyo, Crystal clear (layers in the ionosphere reflect the RF, and it keeps bouncing and skipping all around the planet). If the band is closed, 20,000 watts just makes a lot of un-necessary RF interference and splatter (layers in the ionosphere become transparent to 11 meter RF and it just flies off into space, or the ionosphere becomes opaque to that part of the spectrum and just absorbs the RF). Yes yes yes... there's no 100% absolutes. If the band is 99.95 closed 0.05% of 100 watts (<1 watt) might bounce off the ionosphere and give you a faint skip... So some people get excited about that, and try making systems that are 1000 watts, 10,000 watts, and even higher. It's a complete waste of time and money.
