Review: Highly accurate, easy to use and easy to clean - I love the My Weigh KD-8000 scales. It can weigh up to 8000 grams / 17 pounds and you can have confidence that it is highly/brilliantly accurate. It measures weight in 1-gram (or 0.05 ounces) increments so can weigh precise measurements - essential for turning out great baking, and making sauerkraut. I bought this scale based on the recommendation of Holly Howe, a fermentation expert from USA. She rang its praises for accurately measuring salt to get perfect sauerkraut, and I've found this to be the case. The great thing is that this scale has a percentage function so if making sauerkraut, you don't have to calculate what weight 2% of salt equates with in grams. It has a clear and easy-to-read display, with the numbers being large enough to see from a distance. The part that shows the weight is backlit which enhances visibility of the weight. Unique Features Percentage Mode: The My Weigh KD-8000 includes a percentage mode, making it a doddle to multiply quantities for recipes like loaves of bread ,other baked goods, sauerkraut, etc. Operates on mains power and batteries. I highly recommend this fantastically accurate and easy-to-use scale. Review: All round pleasure to use! - Very happy without these scales. So pleased that I can turn off the time available to weigh function, which has been a game changer! They are easy to clean and I also love the ability to continue to use the scales even if I have no battery life available….one of my better purchases for sure. ## Features - Percentage weighing function; great for baking and soap making - Large, 8000 gram capacity plus 4 additional weighing modes. lbs, lbs/oz, oz & kg - Easy to clean stainless steel platform and hinged gunk shield for messy applications - Bright backlit weight display ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01C6CN1VY | | Best Sellers Rank | 691,601 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) 576 in Digital Kitchen Scales | | Brand | My Weigh | | Colour | Silver | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 2,865 Reviews | | Display Type | LCD | | Display type | LCD | | Form Factor | Handheld | | Manufacturer | FENRIR | | Manufacturer Part Number | 433 | | Material | Stainless Steel | | Measurement Type | Gram | | Model Number | COMINHKPR107484 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Readout Accuracy | 1 Gramm | | Recommended Uses For Product | Baking | | Recommended uses for product | Baking | | Room Type | Kitchen | | Special Features | Backlit Display | | Special feature | Backlit Display | | UPC | 636156031829 | | Unit Count | 1 count | | Weigh Scale Type | Counter Scale | | Weight Capacity Maximum | 8000 Grams | | Weight limit | 8000 Grams | ## Product Details - **Brand:** My Weigh - **Colour:** Silver - **Display type:** LCD - **Recommended uses for product:** Baking - **Special feature:** Backlit Display ## Images ![MyWeigh KD-8000 Digital Food Scale, Stainless Steel - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51XEFZWk4cL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Please could you let me know what the cable is for this? This is my 2nd set had bought them 8 years ago. So I replaced them. The 1st set had got moisture into battery compartment and corrosion happened. But well worth the cost for bakers. ## Frequently Bought Together - My Weigh KD-8000 Digital Food Scale, Stainless Steel, Silver - HISPD 5V AC Adapter for My Weigh KD-8000 KD8000 Kitchen and Craft Digital Scale Power --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/179808406-myweigh-kd-8000-digital-food-scale-stainless-steel](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/179808406-myweigh-kd-8000-digital-food-scale-stainless-steel) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-31*
