Manhattan Toy Wimmer-Ferguson Infant Stim-Mobile for Cribs

Originally I bought this mobile just for its arm, since I needed one to hang a bird mobile I had received and this was about the same price as just a mobile arm. However, I have loved all parts of this! It was so easy to attach to the crib (thanks to the other reviewer about not tightening the knob too tightly, that probably saved me from breaking the rectangular plastic piece), the adjustability of the hanging length is nice, and I love the pictures. It's great that there are some for different ages and they're super easy to switch out. I've actually put the bird mobile away until my wee one is older, since she loves looking at these pictures so much. In fact, I take the mobile off at night so she isn't distracted; this is also very easy to do since the top piece slides off the base easily. I've also put the two extra pictures plates up next to her changing table and she loves babbling to them as I change her diaper. I'm very pleasantly surprised with how happy I am with this purchase.

I ordered this mirror when my son was a month old, and I wish I'd ordered it sooner. I hesitated for awhile because it seemed expensive, but it's been worth every penny. He's almost 7 months now and this has been one of the best toys we purchased. He plays with it pretty roughly now, and we have not had any of the quality problems that some of the other reviewers have noted. Seems like any game he plays is even more fun when he can watch himself doing it. Uses: 1. Just looking at his reflection, smiling, laughing and cooing at the baby in the mirror. Also trying to eat the baby in the mirror and checking behind it to see where the rest of that baby is. 2. On the changing table, keeps him entertained and calms him down. 3. In the crib by itself. I wedge it between the mattress and the side of the crib. Even with no other toys, just the mirror keeps him happy. 3. In the crib, with the Fisher-Price Discover 'n Grow Kick and Play Piano Gym and the Flensted Mobiles Nursery Mobiles, Penguin In Tails. This "golden trio" keeps him happy for longer periods of time so I can have a break. It keeps him occupied for so long that I've even been able to take a few quick showers. 4. On the floor, for tummy time, crawling, and rolling around 5. I've knotted the ribbons in loops and used a chain of the Bright Starts Lots of Links- Solid Colors to hang it off the outside of his crib, so he can see himself while he's in the exersaucer. Again, seems like anything is more entertaining when he can watch himself. As he grows and develops we keep finding new uses for the mirror. I don't know what we'd do without it.

I'm not a techno-phobe but I do sometimes question how much technology newborn babies really need. This is an awesome little mobile that runs on human power and your baby's imagination. No motors, batteries or plugs. It requires someone to wind it up or give it a few spins to make it mobile, but that's a bonus in my book. It makes the caretaker and the baby interact and the baby loves it! It's a great quite time activity and so reasonably priced, you really have nothing to lose by giving it a try.

I was searching for something my young baby could interact with during tummy time or while using the baby gym when I located this toy. It is a bit larger than I expected but that is my fault for not reading the description closely! This toy is great because it incorporates black and white as well as some colors, and a variety of sounds and things to interact with. My baby especially loves the little mirror side of the cube! This item would be great for gifting or for purchasing for your own baby. As a bonus (not really though…) the cat also loves the crinkly elephant ears!

I really wanted a visually stimulating mobile for my baby and I love the different angles the cards hang on this one. Other reviews are accurate that the cards tend to fall off easily if bumped etc. but they’re easy to pop back on. I really like the adjustable cord that lets you play with the height and the cards are high contrast and nice thick quality- not flimsy paper or cardboard. My only complaint, and why I gave it four stars- is the attachment apparatus- but that is literally the same as every mobile I’ve looked at. They all have to be attached to crib slats and it’s near impossible to hang it anywhere else- such as a pack n play, changing station, or rocker, really really annoying. Why can’t they make optional attachment pieces like a clamp or something? I gambled and got it anyway knowing I would have to jerry-rig it- which I did after some trial and error. The whole thing is very light so I used some heavy books and Velcro straps. My set up isn’t pretty but it gets the job done and I can move it to her crib for nighttime/naps but for daytime I can have it in the living room. Also- didn’t like that it doesn’t turn so I had to add my own music/turning device. Overall I liked it enough to make the changes - and my baby girl loves it so there ya go!

My baby likes to look at this in the car. We shake the rattle to distract him from crying when the car stops moving. Worth every cent! Also I like that it isn't too bulky and is not so garish either.

生後１ヶ月半の娘の為に購入。可愛さはないが、低月齢の赤ちゃんは興味津々でじっと観察してくれるので、一人で遊んでもらうのに助かる。ベビーベッドにつけると遊んで寝ないことがあったので、寝るときには外す必要があるときもあった。外にあまり連れ出せない新生児の時期の目の発達に良さそうだと感じた。あくまでうちの子の反応で、他の子に試す機会はなかったが…。

My baby loved these cubes. They're a great size and they're soft and easy for small hands to hold. He still likes playing with them now that he's a bit older.
