ProSteels are fantastic- versatile tone with a little bit of age on them
This is the second set of ProSteels that I have purchased for my G&L M-2500. They're crunchy/bright for the first 3-6 months of life, then sound complex and absolutely amazing for the next 3 years or so (with regular wipe-downs)- very versatile! They're a little more rough under the fingers that nickle strings, but tension is about what you'd expect- not too soft or too stiff. My highest recommendation!

Great bass strings.
I am not a bassist, I'm a guitarist, but I own basses. And I've had bad luck with bass strings in the past. Not these. These showed up, and they installed very easily. And they play well. Not that that's surprising coming from a brand like D'Addario. Would definitely buy again.

Bass clang? Check!
I wish I tried these years ago! Love the tone, finally have that bass clang combined with my Sansamp pedal. I play fingerstyle and they don't feel any different than nickelwound. The price is attractive, too, and I've purchased a few more since.

Bright but a little sticky
Have always used nickel wound D’Addario and love the tone and feel, but these are much brighter sounding. Have only had them on for a couple weeks and the tone is still holding, but they definitely don’t feel as smooth as the typical round wound ones. I like the tone but I think I will be switching back to the regular nickel wound after this for the familiar feel.

Durable and bright. A good buy
I've gone through nickel wound fenders, D'Addarios, Rotosound pinks, Dunlop Super Brights, DR Hi Beams and DR low riders so far. These have given me a better mileage. They stay really fresh for about 3 months, and perform admirably well for at least three more months. Considering most strings sound great in their own way while they're fresh, the deep bass and bite are great overall on these. My current set has taken a beating for over 6 months and still delivers funky brights and good bass. No wonder why D'Addarios are so popular. P.S. I have still on my try list elixirs Coated, earny cobalts and roto steels

Best Strings Ever!
These are by far the best strings I’ve ever used! They have been on my bass guitar for 2 months now and are still punchy and bright. The strings sound really cool when I slap the bass. Very bright on the pluck and nice punch on the low end. When I play finger pick style the strings have that nice stretchy and flexible feel like when I first put them on. Many of the other types of strings I’ve used in the past have gone dead after a couple of weeks but these are still going strong. The .045-.105 diameter of the strings are the perfect balance for me. I highly recommend these strings. You will not be disappointed. The performance is unbelievable. Oh, and the reason I mentioned about how long they have been lasting for me is because I play bass all the time at my church and practice at home every day so my guitar doesn’t just sit in the case. It’s used a lot... lol

I have been searching for these strings in India since 8 years now. Most of the time they were either available in Mumbai or outside India so I carried on with Nickle wound. I always wanted to record modern thrash bass tone which could only be possible due to Lighter gauges stainless steel strings. They are brighter than Nickle wound and apt for Heavy metal songs. Trust me on this been playing bass since 2 decades now.

Great strings at a good price (always worth checking different sites), clear, defined sound if you prefer steel to nickel, good feel on fingers and reasonable durability as well!
