Holikme Dryer Vent Cleaner Kit - 15Ft Flexible Lint Brush for Deep Cleaning

Most home products for doing odd tasks tend to be awful (either they're cheap and fall apart, or they're hard to use, or something) -- this product is none of those things. It was perfect for cleaning our 10' vent with a 90-degree turn. Turn dryer on air-only, attach to drill, stick it in and spin -- tons of dust flew out! I even used an endoscope to verify the pipe and it was indeed quite clean. Would highly recommend.

Great brush, very easy to use, for sure does it's job, great product for the money

First time I used it and it seemed to leave a lot of the lint behind. When I tried to remove it from the duct the joints caught on the pipe where it made the turn into the long duct that I have going to the outside of the apartment. I had ti run the drill and eventually it came past the bend. Had to do this for each section. Plus when using the drill the sections would not come back apart without using a pair of pliers to turn them loose. Worked great for loosening the stuck lint from the pipe which allowed me to pull a pipe snake through with rags taped to the end to get most of the lint out. Will try it a few more times and see how it does. Had used a long one on a pipe with wet lint clogging the enter pipe and it didn't get much out. Had to use the pipe snake and rags to clear that one and it took 3 passes to get it all out. Each pass with a bigger rag ball on the end.

It actually worked!! Got a ton of lint out. The gloves are necessary. I needed wrenches to unscrew the pieces. I did clean from both ends of the duct because I was working alone and the length of the brush stem. Recommend two people for this job to make it a little quicker. It wasn’t really as messy as I expected. Wore an N-95.

Works great, my dryer is almost next to outside wall. Why pay $100 to have someone do it.Cleaned it out in no time. Brushes worked great.

Simple product that works well. I cleaned a flexible metal dryer vent pipe quickly in 15 min. The extension rods are in a convenient length and allows for easy adjustments. Be careful to not have to much length of extension rod to prevent 'wrap up' with your power drill, also do not run your drill in reverse because the extension rods and brush(s) can be detached and lost inside the vent pipe.

This kit was long enough to reach from my laundry room to my outside vent with plenty to spare. Based on the amount of lint it removed I'm very happy to have ordered the kit, and more so since it was way cheaper than calling a professional. The sticks were flexible enough to make it around the corners in the pipe, though they did frequently get caught on joints. Using an in and out motion also helped clear the clog and not just compact it. The main drawback, and why I only gave it 3 stars is, when you're adding sticks or withdrawing the tool, you can only have a stick or two outside the pipe, or they'll twist and snap. This is part of the process is made harder since the twisting motion from the drill really tightens the joints. The connectors are round and hard to grasp with fingers or even a wrench. A small adjustment to each side of the joint, like a square or hex, would greatly reduce the difficulty when removing the tool and earn another start or two. TLDR: it did its job, but wasn't without effort.

For anyone having trouble getting the pieces unscrewed, just put the end back in the drill & hold the first connection firmly with a pair of pliers, and set the drill to go counter clockwise - they come apart so easily! This was probably common sense that most of you already figured out, so this is for anyone like me who was struggling to get the segments apart. That was my only complaint and I’m happy to have resolved it. Other than that, this kit worked better than expected - it was strong yet flexible enough. I had no problems at all and it seemed to do a great job cleaning out the vent!

I am not including a photo because it’s exactly as pictured. The white extension rods are 16” each. I got the 15’ model, which was the shortest unit I could find on Amazon. So I got about 11 or 12 extension rods. It’s easy to put together and easy to use with or without a drill. I tried both ways and the drill makes things a little faster. Only use clockwise direction, even when pulling the brush back toward yourself. The dryer vent here was not cleaned since 2015, which is 8-9 yrs ago. It was not as plugged as I thought, but it’s now spotless inside the 4” duct. I wish it came with a small Bag to keep the rods in when not in use.

Did what it was supposed to. Easy to use. Now it's to try to take it apart to put back in the box for the next time.

It should have slightly more flexibility, places where there is elbow bend in duct work, it is more difficult to use the brush. But overall experience is good. Just must remember to turn it clockwise, or it gets loose and it is tricky to get the brush out of the duct work.

Although very gross this was the perfect tool to help keep my diet working properly
