I’d buy these time and time again!
The media could not be loaded. I’d buy these again and again! This is my 3rd purchase of these products, and they are bloomin great for the garage! So easy to put together, like ann easy to fit mechano set and once constructed feel very sturdy for all my storage needs! They really tidy up my garage, and are super versatile - this last one I didn’t put the bottom shelf floor in and used it to store camp chairs, tripods and all those vertical items that are tricky to store - worked a treat and elevated the tidiness of my garage.I’ve added the images of my other one (in blue) which are the longer versions. Both are great, possibly prefer the longer ones but it’s all about space which to choose - the product is just as functional.

Good product and good value for money
I don't often write product reviews because they can be very subjective, and what works for one person doesn't always work for someone else. However, some time ago I purchased and assembled a similar set of shelving to these for a friend, only from a well-known manufacturer and considerably more expensive than these, with a higher "weight-per-shelf" rating. Having recently decided that I needed a set of shelves myself for the garage, I knew that the 175kg rating per shelf for these would be acceptable, but I had initial reservations about the build quality due to the much lower price. I need not have worried. I bought a single 900 mm x 400 mm 5-shelf bay, and the assembly was just as easy and straightforward as the more expensive ones that I had built before. Also I was very impressed with the quality of the materials. The metal might be a slightly lighter gauge, but this is to be expected as the weight-rating is lower. However, once assembled I found the structure to be extremely sturdy and rigid. There is no flexing of the framework, and I don't anticipate any problems as long as the shelves are not overloaded beyond their recommended capacity. As I only had the one bay, I didn't need to join two bays together. If you feel that you need to do this, then from my previous experience of erecting three similar bays for my friend I would have to say that I didn't find the little clips that join the bays together to work very well. They had the effect of preventing all four of the plastic feet on each bay from sitting on the floor, by causing the outermost feet to "rise up" and "float" in the air whilst the whole assembly "rocked" from side to side on the middle feet. I have no reason to suppose that these would be any different, and I would suggest that if you require multiple bays, you would find it better to leave some space between them, and order more wall-fixing brackets (if required), to attach each bay individually. However, all in all an excellent product with a good, clear instruction booklet enclosed, and very good value for money from G-Rack.

Good product at a great price. Buy a rubber mallet though.
Bought 3 ofvthese racks to replace some old plastic racks which were sagging. The racks are easy to assemble and once fully built look good and are sturdy, especially connected together using the bay connectors supplied. The first rack took about 1 hour to build using the instructions and the next racks took about 15 minutes each (it’s easy when you know how of course) - don’t join the vertical supports together at the beginning as it’s awkward and much easier to build lower section completely then add the top. Very easy to do, good quality and design for the price. Not sure how well the mdf shelves will wear or last over time and think a damp resistant ply could be stronger and more durable (time will tell). Lastly you need a rubber mallet to assemble quickly and safely.

Sturdy when put together with good, clear instructions
Garage Shelving Units: 180cm x 90cm x 40cmBought just one of these units initially for garage storage as I wanted to see what they were like. The parts are all of pressed metal which I thought might be a bit flimsy, but once together they make a strong, rigid frame. It requires no tools other than a rubber mallet and a reasonable sized open space - no nuts and bolts, the parts just slot together. The MDF shelves are rather thin, so take care not to overload them and make sure loads are spread evenly across each shelf where possible (heavier items should be located at the bottom of the unit). The mid-shelf support struts should help prevent any sagging. Some reviews i've seen said that the MDF shelves have gone mouldy - it's too early to tell whether that will happen in my case, but as my garage is dry and well ventilated I don't anticipate any problems.I intend to fasten the units to a wall using the pre-drilled holes. This will give additional rigidity and avoid risk of toppling (obviously some basic tools will be required for this, i.e. drill, screwdriver, decent sized rawl-plugs and screws). It's not often I leave a review but I'm impressed with these and have ordered two more after putting together the first one on my own in around an hour. Would have done it quicker but my dog was trying to help! Having a second person to hold the frame for the initial part of the construction would have been helpful but with care it can be done by one person. It's also refreshing to have a proper instruction booklet in well written English, with photographs at each stage of construction - it gives that bit of extra confidence when opening a box of bits!
