As they are out of the package, when used on top of the cymbal, once the cymbal is struck and wobbles, these foam discs move up the cymbal sleeve and do not drop back down. This leaves a gap of air with no contact with the foam disc. I find that these are better below the cymbal with a felt on top.

I was very skeptical about these products at first. I purchased them as a long lasting cymbal felt alternative. To be honest, I was happily surprised at the tonal difference coming from my cymbals. Great product - totally worth the money!Side Note;Purchase the Gibralter SC-19B (Short Flanged Cymbal Sleeve) along with these. It will make for a much smoother / more stable sound.

Okay, I guess. They're good "felts" as far as that goes but the color is not as deep red as I had hoped. More light to pinkish. My drums are burgundy. I already bought the crimson cympads, thinking they would be darker but they were worse. So, now that's 20 bucks down the drain! 🤨

Love Cympads.... they really work pushes cymbal post and sleeve (recommend using hard plastic sleeve with bottom holder on it and the Cympad sit perfect ..use on top and bottom never need to tighten screws over and over and over after playin for length of time...

Great new product! I use these only on the bottom as these are too thick for my Pearl stands to have on the tops as well. After doing some research they make half height versions but are not sold on amazon...yet.

It didn't make a noticeable difference to my cymbal tone (I use a combination of Meinl and Zildjian cymbals), but I really like that they keep my cymbals more secure and reduce their swing quite a lot - meaning the cymbal is in basically the same place for each hit (as I play hard and fast and am clumsy enough to miss a swinging cymbal). They also have the great added bonus of being really easily identifiable as mine, so no-one can run off with them while sharing equipment at gigs!

Some folks noted the colour was an issue… was not an issue for me.
