This One is a Keeper
The media could not be loaded. I am very glad to have received the SmartPal G1 smartwatch in exchange for an honest review.I have worn this watch nearly non-stop since I received it.The actual watch is made of steel and glass, allowing it to sustain pressure of up to 5 atmospheres, or 50 meters under water. Also, the strap appears to be genuine leather. The SmartPal G1 smartwatch also bears the CE marking, indicating that the manufacturer or importer claims compliance with the relevant EU legislation, not the infamous fake CE sign representing “China Export”. This offers peace of mind. The E-ink display on the watch was an amazing choice. It only uses energy when changing the screen. I can see it clearly both in direct sun and in dark environments. If the environment is too dark, the top left button can be used to shine a backlight, allowing easy navigation through all the menus, or to see the time.Every time I have showered this past week, I have taken this with me in the shower with me. It’s great that I can receive text messages and reply to them in the shower as long as my phone is within ~10 meters.I also love the “Find device” feature. If I have misplaced my phone, I can use this feature. My phone vibrates and an alarm sounds. This is great because I often misplace my phone about once a week.I am very surprised that the “Bluetooth music” feature is flawless. It has always played and controlled my music without fault.I have worn this watch for probably 16 hours on average every day, and the battery never went low enough for it to go into “low power mode” until I chose not to charge it for over a 30-hour period.I love this watch so much that I plan to wear it every day.And of course, I very much recommend this watch.

It isn't a Pebble, but still an okay buy!
I am a Pebble smartwatch user. Therefore, I am more than happy with my Pebble smartwatch (Rebble OS). However, I am always on the lookout for different smartwatches to play with. I saw the Smartpal smartwatch a few years ago, but I wasn't interested. But I could not pass up the price on this watch now. So I did some research on the internet. I know the company doesn't exist anymore, however, there are always developers that take up pet projects and make them work. I came across a person doing a review for this watch, and he gave instructions on how to install a working version of the app on my android phone. If you are interested in the app, search the internet and you will find a way to install it on your phone. The Build quality is amazing. It reminded me of a high end smartwatch from a big name company. The leather strap is really good. The watch functions are similar to the pebble. However, the battery life is abysmal. I am lucky if I get a day out of this watch. I tried it without the Bluetooth connected to my phone and the battery is still bad. The notifications are good, but not perfect. The pedometer, alarm and other functions are good. So I would say this, if you are looking for a basic digital watch I guess its okay (If you are willing to charge it everyday). If you are looking for a smartwatch to connect to your phone, its not really that good because of the battery life. I assume this is old stock therefore, there will be degradation of the battery over time. But I love collecting these type of watches and for that reason I give it three stars.

Don't buy!
Purchased this to use as a normal watch because I knew the company was out of business. This watch failed to function as even that. The battery dies in minutes and the screen keeps glitching out. Spend your money on something else.

Not Smart - but still Great
This company went out of business and so the smartphone apps are not available. It is now just a rechargeable, digital watch. BUT, it was a $100 watch when it was first released. I've had it for 7 months of daily wear and the stainless steel case and sapphire crystal are both beautiful. It keeps great time, and the face is always on (I hate needing to press a button to see the time on some watches). It lasts 5 or 6 days on a charge, sometimes longer. Disappointing that it won't alert me to calls or texts, but for this price I'm ordering a second one.

It’ll tell time and count steps...
I bought this to try because it looks like a Pebble watch and it was really cheap. Unfortunately, there is no app support for this watch since apparently the company went out of business. The watch looks good and still functions as a watch and pedometer. It will connect with my iPhone Bluetooth but that’s all it will do. It will not receive texts or call alerts. If you are looking for a watch/pedometer, this may work for you. If you are tech savvy and can sideload the app onto an android phone, this may work for you. If you need a smart watch that connects easily to your phone and receives notifications - then this is not the watch for you.
