The product description doesn't list the ingredients! What flavor is it? My cat doesn't have diabetes but he is overweight, Thanks!

It is a Rx diet sold through Vet's offices or speciality pert shops for the management of feline diabetes. I would seriously ask your vet,which food would be best for your cat's weight issues. Lower calorie cat foods can work in a few ways by increasing insoluble fiber and simply reducing fat content or by reducing the carbohydrates in the food, decreasing the fat and increasing the protein. This food only comes in two forms 1) chunks/sauce and 2) pate. The flavor is unknown to me, all it lists is poultry by- products. Again I would ask my Vet or call Purina directly. 1800 879 1266. Ask around and does your cat have other health problems, age, etc..

I have ordered the purina dm canned food for my diabetic cat. i would like the pate this time ,but it is not mentioned .where can i get that info?

It doesn't say pate on the can but it is pate...the savory select, which is the chunky does say savory select

The canned dm appears to have new packaging. my cat loved the old one, but won't touch the new one. how was it changed?

I noted the new packaging as well and it seemed like my cat could read it and react differently. The SKU numbers are identical. After a while, my cat settled down and ate it the same. My advise is, "he'll get over it."

Is there *any* china ingredient? my vet informed me amazon pet food versions could have dangerous china-made byproducts, to seriously double check.

I honestly don't know, but I usually trust major brands to disclose that. I doubt that a major brand like Purina would farm out. Like you, I read labels faithfully and reject any pet food or treat made in China or even Mexico. Wish I had a better answer for you!
