AMAZING PHONE SERVICE REPLACEMENT DEVICE HOTSPOT ULTRA HIGH SPEED DATA
I use this product for everyday data meaning it replaced my phone service. It acts as AIO. Power bank, internet for my laptop and I have a separate service for 3 phone lines (3rd party) so this is perfect for, business, personal and pleasure. I highly enjoy it. The battery lasts forever and ever and a day. The speed of the device is OUTSTANDING, I can't believe how fast it is. All my calls are crystal clear, my downloads are like lightning strikes from the heavens. I like everything about it. The few extra apps it comes with are neat, I don't use them but I use the main data purpose. The precise GPS is perfect and VERY precise better than my friend's iPhone location. I turn on data usage protection to avoid draining data, like Snapchat an etc. That's a VERY helpful feature in this device if you're trying to conserve data. The appearance is very cool, touch screen, SUPER fast with zero app lag. This device will impress your friends and co-workers when you pull it out. It's very well worth the price and I highly recommend this product. I don't often leave many reviews but I think leaving a review for this was a good idea. I travel without a car using this device and I'm on foot, this is perfect for keeping my other devices charged and online 24/7

Skeptical at first
I have to admit, I was really worried taking the plunge and buying this device based on some of the bad reviews it had out there. Obviously, more glowing and positive ones, but you still don't want to be that person with the "bad" device. Regardless, I have to say I have no serious complaints whatsoever! I took this to Germany, France and Spain...had zero issues. Even working along well here state side...zero issues. I 'm very happy and impressed with the money spent. I did notice that there are some people who are confused with the "unlimited data" and yes I can totally understand why this would be confusing; that is on part of the company not specifically laying out how it works, but in short, a day pass for unlimited data is not dependent on the time you activate the data (which honestly, that's how it should work if you want to keep people happy) but it is instead based on China's time zoning really, so it's best to try and sync up when their day begins from the 24:00 clock turnover and start your unlimited service then, but it is probably best just to do the Pay-As-You-Go. Speaking on data, what I found useful is, is that they do not lock you into using their data or plans, but it is great to have two options so that you can compare local SIM plans when you arrive in that country and make a educated decision to use their service or pick up a card from a local seller. Think of using their data as a backup option in a pinch should you need it; its a great safety feature to have because it just works pretty much where ever you are. Overall, Usability 10/10 Battery 10/10 (given it's size) functionality 10/10 Speed consistency 9/10 Instructions 7/10 Tech Support 10/10 (subjective, but my agent was very kind and helped me with activation for my 8Gb)

You can go online during an electrical outage
Great backup when facing electrical brownouts like we do here in the Philippines. Uses available cell towers Smart and/or Globe. Works worldwide. No SIM card required, but can use one if you so desire. Should have a battery power pack for extended outages. Highly recommended. Would buy again. Only drawback is the PAYG (pay as you go feature) currently unavailable.

Long-term customer of GlocalMe, horrible experience
I bought this device as an upgrade to my current one, before a trip. I've been a GlocalMe customer for many, many years and this is the third hotspot device I've bought from them (have upgraded over the years as new models have become available). I used to be a huge fan of GlocalMe, until I bought this. Got the device, it's about the size of a cell phone (a bit thicker than I wanted, but GlocalMe has gone a long way with getting these hotspots to a smaller size!) I had 1.1GB on my device, which I verified. Connectivity was not an issue. As I was going to be gone for 3.5 weeks, I purchased a package for additional data (3GB, which should have been plenty enough - I travel a lot and wouldn't go over 3 GB per month. I really only use the data sparingly, and I'm careful to have my devices set up to not automatically update or use up data unless I'm actively trying to when I travel. Also I try to stick to free wifi when I can access it). The money was deducted from my bank account, and my device noted that I had purchased the 3GB, but the 3GB was not reflected in my data available. It kept deducting data from the 1.1GB every time I logged in. I didn't think much of it, as I've never had a bad experience with GlocalMe in the past and I figured that maybe when I run out of the 1.1GB, it would then show the 3 GB and start deducting from that. Use after use, I kept seeing the data go down from the 1.1GB. On day 3 of my trip I was in a situation when I needed more data than usual, so I used up a bunch of the 1.1GB (watched it go down, but was not worried as I had 3GB left for the rest of my trip... or so I thought). When eventually my data got down to 0, the 3GB never loaded up and I was left in a real bind with no internet access. That night, when I got to my hotel and had wifi access, I contacted GlocalMe customer service. The CS agent I talked to kept arguing with me that I used all of the data. I've used GlocalMe for many years and I'm very well traveled, and I generally don't use more than 3 GB in a month when I travel - there is positively no way I used 4.1 GB in 3 days. I told her repeatedly that I monitored closely the data I had left after I bought the 3GB and I never saw it added to my balance. Talking to the CS agent was painful as I didn't feel like she was listening to what I was telling her. She directed me to a place that showed I had bought the 3GB, but I already knew that. Then she she kept saying that my balance shows 0 therefore I must have used the data. The she asked for screen shots of the data usage - which I did not have. She then told me I should check my remaining data every time I use the device - which I did, and which never showed the data I had bought. She mentioned maybe my phone apps were updating in the background. I told her I always make sure to set up my phone so that does not happen when I travel. By then it was 3:15 am and I was exhausted. With no resolution in sight, I let the agent know I needed to get some sleep but really need my data as I am in the middle of travels. She assured me she would be talking to Tech, understood that I was going to bed but will leave messages for me. She then messaged me the MAC addresses of the devices I had connected to my hotspot and asked me to check. I was sleeping by then. She then asserted that since I had more than one device, then surely I had used all the data. I don't see how that's a conclusion she can make, I travel with the same amount of devices every time, and I have never used 4.1 GB of data in 3 days. I don't even use this much with my cell when I travel within the US and don't rely on free wifi! 30 minutes later, she wrote "since we are not getting any responses from you, we'll close the chat". I had told her I was going to bed and did not want this to happen!! I got the messages the next morning, had to vacate the hotel room and could not start from scratch with a new CS agent, especially as I lost wifi when I left the hotel. This created a lot of trouble during my trip. I was reluctant to put more money into my hotspot in case it would not get credited again. I ended up not using the hotspot anymore and having to find alternative ways to connect. I've loved GlocalMe for many years but this was a bad experience. I paid for data I never got, CS was not helpful, and I was left in a bind in the midst of my travels. I think I need to take my business elsewhere at this point.

Near-Perfect Pocket Wi-Fi (If You Pack a Power Bank)
My husband and I travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, relying heavily on our phones and laptops. Since we avoid unsecured public Wi-Fi due to security concerns, GlocalMe has been a strategic tool for staying connected—even in remote areas. The pocket Wi-Fi stays tucked in my bag, delivering a consistently strong signal everywhere, from cafés on the 40th floor of skyscrapers to tiny desert towns. So far, we’ve never seen the connection waver, and while our ultimate test will be overseas, I don’t expect performance to differ much. That said, nothing’s perfect. I’m giving 5 stars because 4.5 isn’t an option, but here’s my reasoning: 1. Battery Life: It drains fairly quickly (4–5 hours unplugged), so we keep it paired with a portable charger. 2. Data Plans: They’re pricey—potentially prohibitive for budget travelers. However, GlocalMe’s game-changer is the SIM card slot. For international trips, we’ll use local SIMs (far cheaper), a feature that set GlocalMe above competitors for us. Despite the trade-offs, the reliability and flexibility make it a travel essential.

Works with T-Mobile. Not compatible with AT&T.
We really wanted to like this product. It's listed as compatible with every single frequency and band in US cellular carriers. It works fine with T-Mobile. It does NOT work with AT&T's new 4GLTE&UP system. Despite repeated attempts and efforts to negotiate the unintelligible minefield of AT&T's customer service team they were unable to get their system to accept the IMEI for an AT&T Prepaid data account. Since AT&T shut down 3G around the nation many many perfectly good devices have ceased to work including this one. Their system will not accept the IMEI. I tried escalating to higher tiers. I tried telling them it was falsely an approved device from their list to see if there was some exception list they'd plug the IMEI into. I tried being very polite and tried being stern and aggressive. Every attempt in every style was met with failure. If there's a way to make this device work with AT&T Prepaid I'd be glad to hear it in someone else's review. Honestly the only reason to push for AT&T is because they've got a $300/yr for 20GB/mo plan that blows every other plan away. If anyone has a method that worked or has had success in getting this device on AT&T since Fall 2022, I'm all ears. Leave a review about it. The device does work fine otherwise. It's an old android phone with a touchscreen repurposed by a HK company to serve as a mobile hotspot. It does a great job of just that. The SIM tray lets you put in a physical card for a carrier while you're travelling (which is probably a better price rate than their Glocalme cloud plans). You can easily switch between your paid Glocalme plan on the cloudSIM and a physical SIM plan. There are bits of info out there about apps like Google Maps being preloaded on the device. However in October 2022, there were only two apps on the one we received (a translator app and a currency exchange calculator). I think if you're using this overseas its a handy device to have (though I'd get a tempered glass to protect the touch sreen). If you're using this in the USA to tether devices check your expectations about AT&T at least. T-Mobile works. Of that we're certain.

Very Happy I Purchased This
I had plans to be in Jamaica for a month and researched various ways to have reliable internet connection without spending a small fortune. I settled on this product and am very glad I did for several reasons. 1. Most importantly, it worked as advertised. Where ever there was 3G service on the island, we had internet service through the G4 Pro. My daughter had to finish up an on line course the first week of our vacation and she was able to have reliable internet service to connect her laptop to. We were able to connect all eight of our devices to the hot spot through out our vacation. 2. It is surprisingly thin and light. I expected it to be more bulky than it is, but it is no larger than some of the popular smart phones out right now. It is probably smaller and lighter than the biggest of the new phones. 3. The touch screen is convenient and makes operation easy. 4. The Google maps app is built in. I used this much more than I thought I would and I didn’t have to use phone data. And yes, Google maps mostly worked even in Jamaica, although on some of the less traveled roads it was iffy. I wouldn’t rely on Google maps in rural areas of a foreign country unless you have some prior knowledge of the area (I did). Otherwise, you might find yourself in an area that tourists should avoid. 5. You can buy a local data plan and SIM card, which is much less expensive. 6. You can buy more data from the hotspot touch screen, or from the app you download on your smart phone. 7. Customer service is pretty amazing. Four months after I bought it and after my trip was over, it occurred to me I hadn’t received the 8GB of U.S. data, so I reached out to the company via the app and they immediately sent the data to my unit. I was impressed with the responsiveness. The only criticism I can make is that the battery life, while not terrible given hotspot and GPS use is a big power drain, is not strong enough for the hotspot to be used as a power bank for other devices. I think if you use the G4 Pro as a hotspot while trying to charge another device, it would not last long enough to do both. But the power bank feature was not a major reason for me to purchase the G4 Pro and I brought an actual more powerful power bank (much larger in size than the G4 Pro) with me. So no points off for this.

Worked great in Greece
Bought the G4 Pro for a recent trip to Greece. Purchased an Vodafone unlimited data sim at the Athens airport for around 60 euro (a little pricey but cheaper than my domestic plans data would have been, and the airport vendor was very helpful). Wasn't much set up required. The vendor activated the sim and inserted it in the slot, and after selecting the physical sim it took about 30 seconds for the G4 to connect. There were six people in our group and we all tethered the data during our ten day stay. We were in a more rural area but within site of a 4G tower. The battery usually lasted around 8 hours, but that depended on usage. No problem streaming videos, posting to social media, checking email, etc. The only limitation is the range, you have to be within 10 or so feet of the device. It will also drop your device from the connection if its not actively being used, no big deal just reselect in Wifi settings. It is dependent on proximity to cellular towers and network coverage, but that goes without saying. Overall very satisfied with the device, it does exactly what it says, and performed as advertised.
