These work great! I don’t know why I’ve been using those crappy glow sticks for so long. I’ve used these strobes on 6 trips so far, each trip was 3 days using 10 nets. I haven’t had any failures and I’m still using the original batteries that I started with. These strobes also saved me at least 3 nets that floated away so far that I wouldn’t have seen them if I was using glow sticks. I do take care of the strobes, I put the batteries in them inside so no water gets in the battery compartment, and I leave the caps on and tight the whole trip. When I get back from the trip I wash the strobes down with fresh water, take the batteries out, and spray WD40 inside the battery compartment. I love seeing my string of 10 nets blinking away and not having to squint and try to find the glow sticks. I don’t know the visibility range but I one of the floaters was over a mile away.

So far, used 2 times for lobster hoop netting to mark buoys. I bought 10 (2x5 packs).The seal is not effective. Leaks saltwater.Pro: Very visible at night. Works as advertisedCon: Bad seals. High maintenance. I only used 2X. I take apart and dry and put in rice and keep batteries away when not in use.I would be willing to test better products (prototypes) is you want a tester......I’m going to try a bit longer. If not practical, I will return
