This system can bring benefits not only to the horse that is functioning correctly, but also aids the gentle rehabilitation of horses who are having back difficulties. Used worldwide by riders, trainers and veterinarians. It is the only style training aid that simultaneously acknowledges the horse's support muscles as well as helping in the development of correct muscle tone and balance. Most schooling aids are attached to the girth and therefore only pull the horse's head in the correct position. They neglect the important development of the back muscles. This training aid's unique design solves this problem and achieves results no other training aid can. It is suitable for all horses regardless of their current level of fitness and schooling. Young horses can be encouraged to develop strong, well functioning muscles, fit horses can maintained, and horses with poor muscle development can be improved. Sizes Pony size will fit ponies up to 14 hands high (it can be easily adjusted to fit smaller ponies). Cob/Horse size will fit horses from 14 hands to 16.3 hands high. Draft Size: For large horses 17 hands and over. Colors Available with a choice of black or white rope. Both styles use a cream colored fur. Comes with illustrated instructions and an online video tutorial. Surcingle, lunge line and bridle are not included. I use it once a week and feel that it has greatly improved and helped develop my horse's top line quicker. I do want to stress that one cannot underestimate how much it makes your horse work. Work the time up slowly and do not make the lines too short, otherwise it can create the adverse effect and cause tension and strain in the horse. There are many great educational videos on youtube on how to correctly use the pessoa. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Happy! *by E***S on August 20, 2018* So happy with this system. I bought the cob/horse size. I am a hunter jumper trainer so use it on multiple different horses. It fits my 15 hand morab and is on the close end of fitting a 16.3 hand tank of an ottb we have. If you have a long horse over 17 hands I would probably go for the oversized. I would says the horse/cob size is best for horses between 14-16 hands. Very impressed with the quality and it's made a difference in our horses' way of going and balance. Great for our ottb who is figuring out how to rock back, without having to also balance a rider. Start set loosely and do short sessions to prevent soreness. Much better priced than the Pessoa System. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just like a more expensive Pessoa *by B***E on November 25, 2015* Just like a more expensive Pessoa, though I have found that at times the ropes move a little too freely and get a bit loose. Not enough to be a problem, but just something to look out for when you're working your horse or pony. I bought the pony size and was able to adjust it work with my 10.1 pony with no problems. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/179153633-hunters-saddlery-ultimate-horse-lunging-training-aid-system-lunge-equipment](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/179153633-hunters-saddlery-ultimate-horse-lunging-training-aid-system-lunge-equipment) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
