Q: What kind of gelatin is in these? (Is it beef or pork?) I can't find the information anywhere.

I have used this for several years. Nowhere on the labelling does it say, "non-porcine" (pork). So you may assume it is from pork or beef.

Q: Which is better this or Spring Valley?

Solgar is better. I have taken them for years. My nails are stronger and my hair has thickened.

Vitamin C promotes collagen production . Vitamin C is good for the immune system – teeth and gum tissue. The benefits of healing an injury such as yours I am unsure of.
