Great adhesive. Would not work between two windows
I got this to fill the gap between two windows after installing a dryer vent. It's too thick for that. I ended up using it on our front door, and it doesn't work good there either as far as the type needed to keep the cold out. For both uses, it was just not the size I needed. The adhesive seems really strong on it if you have a use for it.

Excellent - tightened door frame - no more cold air leaks there
Applied to door frame 'wood' at hinge side - metal doors and this did the trick - past few days - dropping to 45 out - staying 70 inside - w/o having done this, we would have had to kick the heat on. Even leaving the paper intact works great.Neighbor 'had' gap at sill - rather than apply to their door bottom/applied to 'outside edge' of [not top of sill] where the door bottom meets the sill - does not affect opening / closing of either our doors or theirs. Fantastic product -Disappointed neighbor cat as she on inside waiting for 'many more' crickets to enter 'her domain'

Good products. Adhesion could be better.
Have used this before. Works very well but adhesion not so great. Had to prep surface I was sticking it in with some contact cement to improve adhesion. Hard to find this high density even in the box stores so ordered it in Amazon.

Not self adhesive
Nice thick foam, but won't stick to anything, not even itself.

Excellent Accessory
I recently ordered a small window air conditioner, and also ordered this tape for the installation. It proved to be indispensable! My windows are big (more than 37" wide), old, and the frames/sills are not totally straight or level. This tape, which is wide and long enough, and self-adhesive, was a "life-savor" for installing the air conditioner quickly, effortlessly, and efficiently so every thing was air - and mosquito! - tight! This tape, which is very reasonably priced, is very handy around the house for many similar needs. From now on, I'll always keep at least one roll around.

3/4" wide X 1/2" high [thick]
it works to seal around an AC unit.but to seal a window or door?it will not compress without serious pressure.but if you gap is 1/2" it might compress "IF" you apply a LOT of pressure - them lock it in placeon the gap between a window and ac unit it does well as there are minor differences/voids to fill that areabout 1/16 of an inch that were filled/blocked off for insects. [be sure to install it warm] as it sticks betterour window has a vinyl frame that it stuck to pretty well.the foam is high density, So it goes in best when warm. [a bit more than room temp (72f) with the foam warmed to almost 80f.it is easy to see it will do well in our application, but on a door or window that might be opened more that twice (?)
