Worth It
Works better than any blade or short hair brush I've ever used. I can get the legs, face and other sensitive areas without irritating the dog. Its like a big soft rubber eraser that messages the dog and erases shedding. My dog Daisy absolutely loves it. She started to fall asleep meanwhile leaning into Strip Hair wherever i messaged the loose hair off. Easy to grip, use and handle too. Every owner with a short hair dog should own one of these cause its so safe, sanitary and easy that even a toddler could use this and most importantly your dog will actually like this and want you to use it on them. Your dog will not throw a fit and run from this cause its so soothing and gentle. The dog will actually want you to use the Strip Hair on them more. I love it.

Works but heavy
It is ok. Good on short hair. Works better on my cat than dog. It's heavy rubber.

I love this thing!
This is THE BEST groomer I’ve ever used for shorthaired dogs!!! My two greyhounds are shining examples of that myth that greyhounds don’t shed (HA! LIES!)—my female, especially. I was relatively happy with the rubber brush I use on them, but at the vet last week, I was honestly embarrassed of how much hair my girl was throwing out. Amazon must have been listening, because this showed up in my FB suggestions the next day. Honestly, I didn’t like the price, even with the great reviews. I scoped out some knock offs, but people seemed to hate them, so I reluctantly pulled the trigger. Took the hounds outside the day it arrived, and got to work.First of all, they both LOVED the way it felt. They were leaning into me with tails wagging furiously as it stripped their loose hair from their necks down to their tails. SO MUCH FUR!!!!! A quick swish under the spigot released the remaining hair from the rubber. Easy. There is far less fur scattered across my floor and clinging to fabrics, which is wonderful in and of itself.*One of my greyhounds is red; the other is white and red brindle. My white girl showed no signs of pink staining with this groomer. (Haven’t used it wet though, so that may be a different story.)So happy with this purchase!

Getting the hair off!!
How can I express my thank you’s enough! This little item right here saved mine and my rescue dogs relationship. He is a very very timid dog and thinks everything is out to kill him literally. If I am cooking with a knife he gets scared of me like I am going to stab him. So when I tell you he’s impossible to groom it is so so bad. I’ve been knocked down and bruised so many times trying to groom this dirty nasty dog and it’s never successful. It took me a while to let him get used to it you know because he’s nervous about everything. So I let him smell it, nibble it, and lick on it for a minute like it was his. Then I started and he ran but I grabbed him and assured him while holding him tightly that he would be fine. Eventually he leaned into me and started loving it. I got so much hair and dirt and grime off of this dog. It’s truly a miracle and if I could hug whoever invented this thing I would. Life saver! Look how chill he is, which he is never!!

Not so Good for Cats
I really wanted to like the StripHair because Betty’s Best is a local company and had a very positive write-up in our weekly newspaper. Also, our cats shed like crazy and still get hair balls.Unfortunately, while the StripHair might work for horses and large dogs, the version advertised for dogs and cats is too heavy and unwieldy to be practical for an animal as small as a cat. More importantly, it did not remove our cats’ shedding hair. It also has an odd odor that both cats and humans find unpleasant.I have to agree with another reviewer that the Zoom Groom for cats works much better.

Best "brush" out there for shorter hair dogs! Especially dogs with fatty tumors or lumps!!
I have 2 dogs. This does not work good for my smaller, curly, wire haired poodle mix. It will not brush through the hair and get tangles out. However, this is PERFECT for my larger, boxer/lab mix dog who sheds 365/24/7. It almost works like a squeegee. It glides down her hair and makes it all gather up to come off. Another reason I really, really like this, is because my dog is covered in lypomas (fatty lumps) and I started to notice that as I brushed her with a regular brush, she would sort of jerk back, as if it hurts her. This type of brush does not hurt her at all!! I love it for her!!

Not at all how it was advertised
I am so unhappy with this product. I have a bully-mix dog and have searched long and hard for something to brush all his hair off. I was hopeful when I saw the videos and read the reviews. After trying it for many weeks, it's a terrible brush, if it can be called that. I literally sit and brush him with this item, and nothing comes off. I get more from brushing with my hand simply by rubbing his hair. It was expensive and a waste of money.
