Order a mounting plate
Bought this to mount a Wilson Electronics Sleek in my Dodge Durango, because there is no sufficiently large and flat surface on the Durango dash to accommodate the adhesive fixed mounting plate included with the Sleek. This gooseneck mount is very sturdy (the gooseneck absolutely holds in the position you shape it to, even when the Sleek cradle and Droid X cell phone are attached.)So why just the 3*? The suction cup is powerful, but it needs an ABSOLUTELY smooth surface for attachment. The Durango dash is slightly textured, and the suction cup won't adhere. That isn't a condemnation of the suction cup --- they all need a smooth surface. But rather that Wilson doesn't include an adhesive smooth surface mouting plate, like Garmin does with it's GPS suction cup mounts. I had to purchase one separately, the ARKON AP013 Adapter Plate 80mm Circular Adhesive Dash / Console Disc with 3M Adhesive . This is the size you need to accommodate the base of the gooseneck adapter. Although it will work with a slightly smaller plate. (I also tried it in my Subaru, using the smaller plate I had on my dash for a Garmin GPS ... but I had to very carefully align the suction cup on the mount.)This is a good product, and the suction cup --- when mounted on a smooth mounting plate --- holds amazingly well. But Wilson should include the mounting plate with the product, because few buyers have perfectly smooth dashes.

Design Flaw
I purchased this to use with my Wilson Sleek-4V. It sticks to the windshield well and hasn't come off yet. The main issue with the mount though, is the attachment to the Sleek. The Sleek-4V comes with a mount that has a locking tab, so that it does not separate from the base. The Gooseneck mount does not have this tab, it simply slides on. This is a problem because when I slide my phone into the Sleek-4V, it frequently falls off of the Gooseneck mount.Essentially it is impossible to use this with a SmartPhone in landscape mode. I have it tilted slightly to make it more difficult for the Sleek-4V to separate from the Gooseneck mount (still comes off, just not as frequently). If you use it straight up and down, it probably won't separate. So I am looking into possibly using a screw, tape, velcro, or something to hold the Sleek-4V to the Gooseneck mount. It isn't fun frequently putting the Sleek-4V back onto the Gooseneck mount.

A sturdy, yet removable mount. Great
I have had this mount installed in my primary vehicle for just over month. The suction cup mount had held very well and had not required any adjustment since the original installation. I am using this mount to hold this cell phone cradle booster: Wilson Electronics Sleek Cell Phone Signal Cradle Booster for All Cell Phones with Mini Magnet Mount Antenna - For Single User The final part to my "system" is the charign cable: Wilson Electronics Micro - Mini USB Charging Adapter Together they have made a great system for holding my phone, charging the phone and boosting my signal. My one and only complaint is that the actual conenction between the gooseneck mount does and the cradle is a little loose. Occassionally I end up knocking the cradle off the mount when I am trying to remove my phone.I am very pleased with all 3 products.

Works beautifully, stable but not rock solid
This has worked beautifully for my slightly older Sleek booster. Like other purchasers I was worried that the cradle just slides down on a small hook on the gooseneck with no catch or clasp, but it has never come off in use, while being easy to unmount the cradle to take it away from the car. It's not a rock solid solution -- when I use the touchscreen the phone sometimes moves a bit. But it works perfectly for what it is.After some experimentation I've got the suction cup attached to my steeply sloping windshield, then the gooseneck leans against the dashboard before curving up into good eye position that doesn't block visibility.

It works but like my other cheap walmart suction cup is a bit wonky/cheap
I have this for the wilson 4g extender and it stays on the windshield very good. Only issue's are it doesn't really lock onto the phone cradle very securely, like when i remove my phone upwards out of the stand it slide off the windshield mount if i dont hold it down. My other windshield mount i got from walmart years ago for 15$ is exactl the same but it hold the phone stand a bit tighter. Other issue which i ran across with my old phone mount is that there is teeth that hold the suction cup button down when you secure it to your windshield. I few teeth have broken off, but the suction cup still holds on so i guess its not a deal breaker. If the teeth weren't plastic it'd be better but it does work and holds tight.

3.5 stars. Good for highly raked windshields as long as you take care in shaping it.
Be very careful you bend it correctly the first time, if you're OCD about it looking properly, as it's not really going to be well shaped if you bend it wrong and then have to rebend it. The "head rotation function, to me, is useless. it's so ballpark that about the only adjustment you could make if your phone in the attached holster is turned wrong is from "wrong to wrong." Depending on the car, if you don't figure out how to brace it on something or get clever, the phone in the holder might shake enough to be really annoying.

Gooseneck...
Works OK. The phone is prone to some shaking from side-to-side at certain vehicle speeds. Also, it would be nice if the Sleek cradle locked into place better. It's easy to pop the entire cradle off of the gooseneck accidentally just by removing your phone from the cradle (my phone case is rubber, which grips the cradle arms a little, so I have to be really careful to brace the cradle as I lift out the phone). Some sort of "snap" into place would be better. The suction cup grips very well! Overall, not a bad accessory for your Sleek.
