Super fun. The battery compartment leeks when the boat flips over. The self-righting feature does not always work, expecially when you run the boat on a lake that has waves. Spend the money on an extra battery. All in all it has been a blast to play with!!

This is a really nice and fast toy grade boat with some hobby grade features but it has a few well known problems that can easily be fixed.... Do these things as soon as you confirm your boat is working. A big issue with this boat is water getting in, and it's happening in a few spots that need attention. The gasket on the top cover is too thin, you have to either add another gasket on top so it doubles the thickness, use removable waterproof tape on the top cover all the time, or remove the gasket and fill the gap in the top cover with gasket sealant... So it creates a new gasket. Next you will need some clear silicone, add some inside the boat around the rubber cone that the rudder shaft comes through, add it around the inside of the boat where the two halves of the hull meet. Also, add some silicone inside the boat around the water exit tube, on the heatsink to secure it, and any gaps around the wires on the battery. You must keep the battery dry, use silicone on it! You should put some marine grease inside the rubber cone for the rudder to water seal it completely. Although the water cooling somewhat works, the motor gets way too hot. Open a gap on the upper section of the cooling coil, slightly bend the second coil up a little and it will expose an air intake hole for the motor. The motor will run cooler and last longer. Apply some waterproof tape over all the connectors inside the boat. Adding some foam in the nose of the boat, and a piece glued to the top cover will prevent it from sinking, but instead float like a cork. If you readjust the position of the arm on the servo motor and put the rod in 1-2 holes higher, you can get extra rudder movement and allow it to turn more in each direction. It will steer left and right better, and allow super fast turns. Finally, you should use Li-Po batteries in these boats, the large motor requires more power than Li-Ion can provide. Change the power connector to something standard like JST or make/buy an adapter and you can use standard 1300 to 1600 mAh Li-Po batteries (1300 mAh 30C works awesome). Do these things and what you drive on the water will seem like a completely different boat

Good, Fun product for a few days. Super fast. We bought three of the them and my 11/12 year olds had a blast. After a week, they started to breakdown. Crashing into each other? water in the electronics? Either way, good fun for the money. If I could do it again, I would have taken better care of them.

Boat runs extremely well. Going to buy 2 more for my grandkids one for each.Accumulates a little water from the lid. When the battery needs replaced I just use a paper towel to pick up the water. Really not a problem.Never have flipped it over to try the self righting.I've had it out 5 or 6 times, bought 2 extra batteries so we have more play time. I will let the motor cool between battery changes. The motor gets quite warm even with the cooling coil. Remember it uses surface water for cooling so the surface water is warm on a hot day.Works just as it says, out of range light works and the low battery warning works in plenty of time to get it to shore.

Bought three boats for a cabin trip on a lake. All three of them the motor died getting caught on weeds. Not saying it's horrible as this thing was very fast, but do in a pool as anything it gets caught on breaks the motor immediately.

The media could not be loaded.  Did a lot of research on the right boat and this is the one for me. Love it. I bought it for my 5 year old and I to have fun with on our mini lake.I like to let my kid learn things on his own. I just handed my son the remote, I put the boat in the water and he just figured it out without any instructions. Super easy to drive for a 5yo. I did have to drive the boat slowly back to the shore though for him so we didn't muck it up. Going to be taking it out a lot. It stays on his shelf and he loves it. Buy it for making some great memories and having fun!

I bought this as a gift for my dad for Father's Day. He absolutely loves his new toy and apparently my mother enjoyed it so much that she wants her own boat! So I just ordered her the same one. Now my parents (in their 60's) can race each other around the lake the live near. I'm so happy I chose this rc boat over the others available. They especially like the long range and the user friendly controller, as well as the cool design. I appreciated that the item was ready to use right out of the box. Looking forward to hours of fun.

This boat worked the first time I used it. Then 2 weeks later, it was dead. Changed all transmitter batteries and charged boat again and again.What a waste of time and money. I bought the red boat at same time and had the same problem. Obviously something corroded and couldn't work in these. The instructions provided no information on maintenance, etc. I used thes in normal Gunter pool.

Recu le produit rapidement. Bateau très rapide et le servo du moteur et de la direction sont variables. La fonction de batterie faible du bateau ainsi que le signal faible (si le bateau est trop loin ) sur la télécommande est très utile. La batterie respecte bien l'autonomie annoncée. Seul petit bémol, après chaque ride, le bateau prend un peu l'eau à l'intérieur mais fort heureusement, les circuit électronique semble bien scellés.

Doesn't last. Motors burn out quickly and electronics fail. Good for a season but wouldn't expect more. Had 3 of them and all circum to the same problems.

This boat ran once till the battery died and then either the battery wouldn't charge or was dead but the boat would not work after the first time.Too bad because the first attempt looked promising.
