Came with everything needed to hook up an older PS2 console so our 11 year old could "get nostalgic" over playing "retro" games on a "real" console. It seems to be working fine. He's played "Tomb Raider" and "Ratchet and Clank" on a "cheapy" 60" screen TV (Element) that reads a 480i signal being output through the HDMI cable to the TV. I used a high quality HDMI cable I had already for an Xbox360, rather than the short HDMI cable that came with the adapter (it looked flimsy so why not?). Image quality is pretty good for what it is, an 10+ year old console. No issues with sound, no with weird lines showing up, as reported in some other reviews. He hasn't tried to play a PS1 game on the console (the PS2 was backward compatible), so I can't say if it will translate that to an image. All in all, a good purchase, if I do say so myself!

The video cord for PS2 Slim /Fat consoles is excellent. Plug into console & TV and then also connect USB power cord into small black box side & the other end into USB slot in back of TV and toggle switch to 'On' position and clear colors and texture.

Could not be happier at being reunited with my PS2. This adapter works just like you would hope. Super easy setup. Do be aware it needs it's own outlet though. I know I'm not the only one playing "uhh, which device do I unplug now...?" behind my tv so buying a power strip as well may not be a bad idea.The games look exactly like you're playing a standard def game on a high def tv though, so don't get your hopes up on any miraculously improved picture quality. But hey, the classics are the classics.

This product in itself won’t help too much unless you get like a MClassical with it but overall for the price it is, works good and I’d say it’s a must to have

I had a composite ps2->hdmi adapter before and it was bad. Video kept cutting out, and video quality was garbage. This, while a bit expensive, supports Component video which is amazing, so I can play Gran Turismo 4 in 1080i quality and it looks awesome. Plus the overall plastic quality and case is also appropriate for the cost.

The unit stopped working after 1 day of use. We installed it on January 31st 2021 and it stopped working on the Feb 1st 2021. We though it was the PS2 but I was able to plug it in to an older TV that didn't have HDMI connections and it worked. I even swapped the HDMI cables to double check but that didn't resolve the issue. He cable workws on the NES system. Can't return it at this point. Missed it on the 31st. Don't recommend this product.

I bought this expecting most of the 1 star reviews to just be from dumb people not understanding the product, and I was right. I feel sorry for the 1 star reviews that may have gotten a defective unit.Works perfectly on my fat PS2.
