Tajima H1550MW Class 1"Hi Lock" Measuring Tape, Red, 5 m x 25 mm

I’ve owned this tape measure for almost 3 years now. I dont use it everyday but quite often. It’s very accurate. I wanted a metric only tape measure and this has been perfect for my needs. I’ve used it for things like measuring wood(metric is easier to halved or divide), measuring things I need to cut or make two exact length copies, 3d printer frame parts, measuring metric bolt lengths, some wheel and tire measurements, farm related work, or anything really where imperial isnt ideal. Its durable, and has been left out in not so great weather conditions. No rust, lock still works great. Its also very easy to read. Highly recommend.

It's a nice tape measure. I do wish it were more rugged and had printing on both sides, but getting any sort of Class 1 metric tape in America is frustrating, much less anything beyond the basics. So far now, this is a good compromise. I'm glad somebody thought to make it available without having to go through a European site to buy it.

I use this tape to verify the accuracy of my other tape measures. Once I've verified them to be accurate, (or close enough to use), I put this one back away until I have a need to reverify, or check out a new tape.Very satisfied.

Non è la prima volta che provo un prodotto Made in Japan, ma è la prima volta che provo un prodotto Tajima e ne sono entusiasta.Questo è un flessometro di Classe 1 e quindi senza margine di errore alcuno, e ciò lo rende assolutamente perfetto per la falegnameria e per tutti i lavori di precisione.Dato che linee della millimetratura stampate sul flessometro sono di 0,5 mm vi consiglio di utilizzare un portamine da 0,5 mm per garantirvi la massima precisione quando andate a segnare le misure sul legno o su qualsiasi altro materiale, e nel caso vi consiglio i portamine della STAEDTLER da 0,5 mm presenti su Amazon.Questo flessometro mi ha davvero stupito e soddisfatto in tutto e per tutto in particolar modo la qualità della stampa che è assolutamente perfetta così come perfetta è la qualità costruttiva, la qualità dei materiali e la qualità del nastro.Sono assolutamente soddisfatto e consiglio vivamente l'acquisto di questo flessometro che, a parer mio, non è secondo a nessuno.

I have used a fair number of tape measures over the decades but none have been as functionally good as this Tajima. I appreciate good design in tools and treat them with care, so my comments should be taken in that context.The mechanism is probably the smoothest running I have come across and for me the rewind tensioning spring is just right, not too weak or strong. I suspect this is because, with a well engineered smooth running mechanism the spring tension does not need to be as high as one with more friction to overcome.Having only metric measurements means the scale is uncluttered and VERY easy to read, assisted by the black writing on white tape. Good for someone like me who can still manage without reading glasses but is better with them. It is rated at Class 1 accuracy which is nice to know but may not be critical for most applications.Used with reasonable care, stand out is reliably around 2.5 metres without any support whatsoever from fingers/hand. Supported by the hand/arm it is significantly more. The locking mechanism/brake is easy to use and works well. The locking can be overcome as it is based on a friction mechanism but is at least as good as others I have used.Too early to comment on reliability hence the 4 stars for sturdiness, but after weeks of regular use it is still working well. The outer case is plastic so may shatter if dropped from height onto a hard surface but because the design is quite rounded there are fewer corners likely to break if dropped. There is also a softer plastic insert in the case where the tape end hook stops. This reduces the chances of an accidental full speed rewind into the case damaging the harder plastic case. This is my first Tajima tape measure and it won't be my last. Looking for an 8 metre metric only version now!
