The missing manual
This chair came in the oddest box ever. It was shaped like half a peaked roof (triangular). I'll bet the carrier loved that. Part of the packing material was two sheets of what looked like very cheap thin plywood. The bag of screws had torn open and I had to work to find the fourth washer, stuck in a fold of cardboard. The very simple picture instruction sheet was fine. Most of the chair is preassembled, but you do have to push in the wheels, drop the canister into the leg base, screw on the under-seat adjuster unit (four black screws with washers), lower the seat onto the canister, and attach the arms (four silver-colored screws with silver spacers.) It comes with two allen wrenches for the scews.I think the chair would look just fine without the arms, although you would see the 4 small, non-protruding brass receptors. The highest point of the arms sticks up exactly 8" from the surface of the seat. For me, that's low enough to go under my desk with my hands on the arms. To attach the arms: The silver spacer goes over the brass receptor, with its longer lip under the chair seat. Then the arm goes on, then the screw. Bit of a balancing act, but not bad.Adjusting the chair: The ball lever on the right is for adjusting the seat height. Sit in the chair. Pull the right lever up. Let the chair sink down if you want it lower. If you want it higher, take your weight off and let it rise. When it's where you want it, push the ball lever down to lock. The ball lever on the left is for choosing between being able to rock back (up position) or not (down position.) If the rocking goes back more than is comfortable, you can tighten the tension using the big black ridged-plastic knob under the seat. I can't reach it without getting out of the chair, but maybe you can. It takes many turns to make a difference.I don't believe there is a tilt adjuster on this chair. I wish there was, because the bar on the front of the seat bothers me after a while. I would rather have the chair pitched a few degrees forward. I'll probably get a foot stool. I'm 5 foot 2 inches tall. The seat of this chair feels a little too deep for me. When I'm all the way back in the seat, the front bar presses behind my knees. The five wheels work ok on my dense rug with raised design. Better than expected. The chair back is about 9-10 inches higher than the desktop. Too low to rest your head, but great if you don't want the look of a big chair. I love love love the handle on the back for moving the chair around when you're not in it.There's some padding in the seat but it's really pretty firm. Not a cozy noon-nap chair, although the leather feels very nice. The white is soft and matt, not super-white or glossy. Good lower-back support if you sit back. This is a good-looking, elegant, modern chair based on an iconic office chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames.

Love it!
Really like this chair, it's a chair and not a bunch of fluff and cushions, nobs and promises. You should always buy a chair with the support on the sides and not just a little square plate under the seat, unless you have a Barbie Doll bottom and sit perfectly in the center of the chair and don't get up and down a lot. With this chair you don't need to worry about those quick sits on the edge of the chair and I'm guessing it fits perfectly to any curve. There is not a lot of cushion but we're talking a work chair not a recliner you are going to sleep in.Looks really good too. I'm changing the color of my office to White.I can't imagine it being difficult to clean or keep clean. This replaced one of those $1200 ergonomic chairs that I forced myself to like for nearly ten years. I was really happy when it broke down so I could get something else.

Beautiful chair, not the most comfortable after few hours....
I love the look of these chairs - modern and stylish. I've had it for seven months now and it looks brand new -- no cracks in fabric or anything. I need to tighten the screws for one arm again, but that's no big deal, they're bound to loosen over time. The only drawback is that it is not a chair to work in all day long. I've had the big, dark, comfy executive chairs and those are far more comfortable for extended periods. If you sit in this an hour or two, it will be fine but working from home and sitting in it several hours would not be the most comfortable option.

Get the leather one instead (reasons listed below)
I moved into a larger office and needed to buy chairs to match our existing ones. Unlike the leather ones, this chair's metal base and arms are chunkier and not as attractive. The vinyl is more resistant to dirt (my leather one has to be cleaned all the time!) but in terms of comfort, if you sit all the way back, be prepared to dive backwards, this thing SWINGS! It's not very stable/comfortable because of that, who wants to feel like they're falling? The leather version is actually much better, you would think they'd be identical, but it is superior in many ways.

I like the white and the fact it is a big ...
Bigger than I anticipated. I am 5'6" and it is a little too much chair for me. I like the white and the fact it is a big puffy chair.

Not quite as white as I expected
I like this chair but I have two issues with it. First, the white does not match the color of the desk I bought it to match. The desk is bright white and the chair looks a little creamy next to the desk. Second, on the lowest setting, I can barely get my feet to the floor and I am 5'7" tall. Also, given the way the chair fits when I sit all the way back in it, I feel like it is better suited to someone 5'8" and over.
