Freshware 15-Cavity Silicone Dimpled Valentine Heart Chocolate, Candy and Gummy Mold

So, I purchased this to make shapes for compound butters to serve at an event. ( I read through the best and worst reviews, but my problem was that the applicable reviews were the 3star reviews in the middle that don't show up as the best OR the worst)I saw reviews using it for solid material like chocolates, soaps and other things that set up.I saw people complain about the size, Pictures were nice. reference. I didn't see much about the texture of the material itself other than it's hard to use ( not very useful without details...)I have bought the floppy brown colored silicon molds before that are very flexible and can turn inside out.THIS mold is a more solid stiff mold that holds it's shape, and the wells DO NOT bend. I repeat, you WILL NOTbe popping these out by shoving your finger into it. It is more like an ice tray in that it flexes but does not bend.I wish I had seen the review about butter cause that was my goal. Except my issue was not that the butter melted before i could get it out, but that the mold itself is SO STIFF that the fine edges of the leaved broke clean off when trying to get it out. Very similar to what the low star chocolate reviewer said, but I thought solid frozen butter might be harder than chilled chocolate. And I thought that IF I pushed down on the mold right out of the freezer I could slide out perpendicular, but No. It does not have enough Flex to be pushed straight down to unmold, and if your item is rigid, it has so much flex that it will shatter it on the pointy items. The rounded leave kinda came out fine. Sorry I have no photo as I only tested 2 wells to see if this was the mold for my purpose. It is not.I'm speculating that this might work for something solid AND flexible, like gummy gelatin where you can bend it and it won't snap. I can't give the product itself much of a bad review, I give the bad reviewers bad reviews for not being specific enough with the problems of the product so that potential buyers can make a more educated decision. I'm keeping it cause I made the mistake of dismissing bad reviews because they weren't detailed enough.

My favorite time of year is fall. So when I saw this mold, I had to have it. This silicone mold works great for candies, butter shaping, soaps, or wherever your imagination takes you.This silicone makes it easy to pop out your soaps or candies or whatever you have it it. You simply twist it a bit and voila, the product slides out.There are 8 varieties of leave shapes to use in this mold, so the ability to come up with an assortment of your product is endless.This mold is easy to store, it slides in anywhere in your cupboards. I have a container I keep all my molds in, and it's getting quite fill, so with this being flexible, I could roll it up and slide it into a small space in terms container.This mold is dishwasher safe, which to me, is a huge plus.I am glad I purchased this, and would recommend it to anyone.DISCLAIMER: I purchased this product at full price.

These were very easy to use. I made chocolates and melted butterscotch candy for my sister. i bought butterscotch candy melted it on the stove and poured it in the leaf molds. they hardened very quickly and came out perfect. I used white and dark almond bark chocolate and made tons of leaves. they only have to harden for a short time, they also came out pretty good. the very small parts of the leaves broke while taking them out the first time or so, but i think i probably should of let them sit longer. don't have any pics of these. but overall they were great for what i needed.

Perfect butter mold. Couple of caveats: Butter must be very soft, but not melted because melting butter separates it. Mold MUST be clean and dry. If you're using this to make multiple batches, make sure to clean out any leftover butter, or it'll spoil your next mold. Be sure they're dry, water left in the mold will spoil the next mold as well. I filled them with a butter knife, an offset spatula would be better. Also tried a sandwich style zipper lock bag with a small corner cut out. That worked pretty well, working from the tiny nooks and crannies inward. Finished up by scraping smooth with the knife. Put them in the freezer for at least 10 minutes, 15 was better. They popped out easily. Would be a fun project for kids, these made my Thanksgiving table look elegant.

These are great molds for my purpose. I started making bath bombs and these are big enough to make small fizzles. I prefer the big ones because they provide great shapes and fit a lot of product but these are very nice too. The mold is made of a good, thick silicone or polymer of some type but it is nice and thick and produces a tight mold. I almost wish I was making soap or chocolate in these because they are beautiful. The leaves are about an inch long and have great shape. I would highly recommend these to everyone. I wish they were twice as big though, then they would be perfect.

This is a quality product. I like that it's made of silicone and can withstand the heat of the candy I'm trying to make. I've personally had difficulty removing my homemade maple candy on the tips with a couple of the shapes, but I think that's due to my lack of experience with candy making. I decided to share a photo of my "not so good" candy skills, but hopefully it'll give you an idea of the detail of the leaf design? I began making these candies for my 10 year old daughter because she's unable to eat most store bought candy due to food allergies. It gives me peace of mind to produce something in my own kitchen, without the worry of cross contamination of peanuts/tree nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, artificial colors/flavors, etc.

My son wanted to make butter leaves for Thanksgiving. They turned out nicely. I followed another reviewer's instructions and used room temp butter and popped them into the freezer. Keep them covered in the fridge until ready to use. Next year will will also do chocolate leaves and maybe pie crust leaves for decoration. It went through the dishewasher fine, but had to go through a few times to be completely clean after butter.

Received promptly and exactly as specified. Used them for chocolate - works really well and the shapes come through very clearly in the finished product. Only problem: there is a bit of difficulty with pieces of chocolate being left behind in the ends of the maple leaves section. With the silicone being firmer than others I've used, it was a little hard to clean out those cracks. Very durable though.

Item arrived quickly and in good shape. They are a good size. I often find these types of molds to be smaller than expected. So far I have only used them with melted chocolate but they worked well.

This silicone Christmas mold is just perfect. I bought it to make my preparation of chocolates for Christmas and I tested it at once when I received it. The silicone is thick what makes that it is not too soft when we manipulate it. Chocolates are great easy to turn out and they are very beautiful. The mold is easy to clean. Furthermore, the mold is guaranteed, it is made without chemical, washable in dishwasher and it goes in microwaves! Les chocolats sont super facile à démouler et ils sont très beau. Le moule se lave très bien! De plus, le moule est garantie, il est fait sans produits chimiques, lavable au lave-vaisselle et il va au micro-ondes! Génial!

These are mini. It's a great mold though. Great for chocolate or soap embeds!
