Well Made & Better Designed Replacement
Bought Apple laptops since they entered the market. With a more recent MacBook Pro, like most I had the power cord take a dive early, generally from poorly Apple-designed connection points and wire stress issues. The Apple power adapter, however, has always been excellent. Not much use with a lousy cable, right? This 96W replacement package was suspicious to me, but it turned out fabulous. The cable is clearly superior to Apple-branded wire: has resistance and is stout, not flimsy. The power adapter, while not able to house an "extension" cord to the wall (like Apple gear) is still very well-built and has a lovely green LED that keeps you informed. For those who've complained that the adapter doesn't fit securely in their wall, my suggestion is to replace your socket: no adapter plugging issues here, at all; firm in the wall and always at a reasonable temperature. FYI, the included cable also works perfectly with Apple adapters.
