Comfort Foam Replacement Ear Pads for GRADO SR60, SR80, SR125, SR225, M1, M2 Headphones Ear Cushions, Repair Parts with Video Guide (Black)

My history with Grado has been 6 years with SR80's and then I upgraded to SR225e's and have been using those for the past 6+ years with the factory pads. Once black flecks started getting on my ears (maybe a few years later, don't judge) I decided to buy some new pads and after doing some research I came to these. Absolutely love my 225's, everything except the comfort level and occasionally harsh high end made these headphones close to perfect. The intimate sound stage is something you wont find in any other brand of headphones. Anyways, on to the review for these pads. I mainly used Amazon Music Ultra HD tracks to test these out. Let me get this out of the way, if your primary concern is comfort, buy these. The sound quality difference is relatively minimal, especially if you turn the larger holes inward towards your head (I will detail more on that below). Just know, in general, these are very comfortable and impact sound minimally. I went from being able to wear my Grado's 40 mins before my ears were sore from wearing them to 8 hours with no problem. I recently got a remote job so I listen to music for 8 hours every day and my ears are very thankful for these pads. For those who REALLY care about the sound quality I will now detail how these pads change that without getting too cryptic with my words. So these pads have two configurations whether advertised or not. You can turn the large holes inward or the smaller holes inward. They have a different sound quality to them dependent on the configuration. Small hole inward: This is very similar to the HD414 quarter mod you may have come across. The opening is smaller than the factory pads so a little bit of ear foam covers a tiny bit of the outer rim of the drivers and the overall effect is a bit more low end (personally welcomed though probably less accurate), warmth, and unfortunately a tiny bit of muddiness on bass heavy songs, slight loss of clarity, slight loss of high end and a slightly condensed sound stage. The drivers are even closer to your ears with these pads since the factory ones are so firm they are maybe a quarter an inch further away than these (pull your headphones outward a little wile wearing them, it makes a surprising difference). What that means is the sound stage feels closer and even more intimate, so if you hate the closeness of your Grado's, these are your worst nightmare. It felt off at first (not enough separation), but within a day I got used to it. This configuration is also a tiny bit more comfortable because more foam is touching your ears this way, but not by much. Large hole inward: In this configuration, none of the driver is covered and the opening is the same exact size as the factory pads. This way has all the sound benefits (or flaws, looking at you notorious high end) of the factory pads, same high end, same clarity, etc. The only real difference is the drivers being closer because the pads are thinner/softer. This results in a slightly compressed sound stage compared to the factory pads. That's really not a bad trade off for the increased comfort and it is something most people wont notice or will get used to in such a short time that it really wont matter. So there you have it, two configurations with some trade offs. I personally I went with the small hole inward because I was longing for a little bit more bass out of my Grados and I've only missed clarity/high end on certain songs and the muddiness only really shows up on tracks that are kind of muddy to begin with. Either way I think the increased comfort is worth it alone in either configuration. Def buy these and give them a shot!

This is a quality product. These foams are more dense than the factory ones on my grado sr80e and a bit thicker too. Needles to say, they install super easy, and look good, better than the factory foams that were falling apart after more than 2 years of use. The real deal with these begins when you wear them. They are super comfortable and easy on the ears after hours of wearing, and putting on some music, the difference is immediately noticeable. Bottom end gets bolder and exciting, highs remain clear, and I even feel there is a significant improvement in soundstage, which is already great on these grados More than ever, music is a bliss to listen to with these on my humble sr80e's. They really came back to life. I won't be changing headphones for a good while now.

Pretty happy with these. I am not really an audiophile but love jazz, prog, fusion, etc. and Grados are clearly a superior choice for listening to anything from the analog era (enjoying Tull's "Reasons for Waiting" as I write). I just got Grado 225's since my 80's developed issues (crackling/something loose?) a few years back and had to be tossed. Amazing sound but the stock ear pads were very stiff/rough and hurt my ears right away. These are perfectly softer and more similar in shape to the ones that came with my 80's. However, I recommend widening the hole (just a few careful snips with some scissors) to lessen muffling. The pads are lower-profile than the stock 225 pads so they will sit closer to your ears and be a tad louder/fuller (YMMV). Also comes with a little microfiber cloth and some kind of plastic rod about size of index finger that I don't know what it's for.

I used these for my Koss KPH30iW wireless and my Grados and for both it's way more comfortable and for me sounds better the ear pads are very soft and nice on the ears.

Fits Grado SR80 snugly which is a good thing.

Well let me start out by saying; "I don't like foam ear pads".........but when it seems you have no other choice, these pads are reasonably comfortable and fit well on my Grado SR60 head phones...........but, as I say, I don't like the feel of foam on my ears and foam does have a tendency to deteriorate over time. I bought these are pads back in Oct 24, 2023 and so far, so good. No signs of any deterioration. For the money they're good.

Great idea but will not stay in place.

I used these pads on both my SR125 and my Mom-in-Law's SR60. Installing them was dead easy and they fit perfectly. I like the open design which avoids the pad having a comb effect on the headphone drivers, the openings in the pads ensure sound is unimpeded. The pads also improve significantly the comfort, especially on my SR125 which originally shipped with cone shaped, very scratchy and distinctively uncomfortable foam pads. These ones however rest flat on your earlobes and they are soft and comfortable even for long listening sessions. People usually complain about Grado's comfort and for good reason. However the full metal band on these headphones make it easy to bend them into a comfortable, custom head fitting shape. Replacing the OEM pads with these ones makes the journey into complete comfort complete. 100% recommended.

Las adquirí para mis Grado SR80e, con el afán de darle otro "sabor" al sonido; pero, para dar mi opinión completa primero vamos por partes. En lo particular, el sonido de mis grado me encanta por ese toque divertido que tienen y por la calidad del sonido y materiales; que aunque, no supera mis expectativas, tampoco me queda a deber del todo. Primero, desde mi punto de vista los pads originales se me hacen super cómodos (aunque uso lentes) y la densidad y el tamaño de estos le dan a los grado una sensación de intimidad con el sonido (aunque a mi parecer es un poco frío); las frecuencias altas las entrega bastante bien (aunque en algunos casos me llegan a lastimar), los medios los maneja bastante bien y los bajos tal vez no son los mejores pero dan el ancho; el soundstage y la imagen la encuentro bastante bien (no les pido más porque son unos audífonos on-ear). En conclusión, todo está en su lugar y sin llegar a impresionar. Ahora, tomando en cuenta lo anterior, al usar los pads de Geekria encuentro lo siguiente: - Lo primero que noté, es que el sonido es más cálido que con los originales, el soundstage es un poco más amplio y la imagen mejora un poco. - En las frecuencias altas no noté mucha mejoría, siento que tal vez disminuyen un pequeñísimo porcentaje (apenas se escucha la diferencia); en mi caso, ese porcentaje hace que los sonidos que me llegaban a lastimar ya no lo hagan. - Las frecuencias medias se quedan en su lugar, aunque se sienten con más presencia - Las frecuencias bajas se sienten ligeramente más notorias. - Estéticamente se ven y se sienten más portables y que el driver quede al descubierto les da un buen toque. - La comodidad, no se me hizo mejor que con los pads originales, pero tampoco me quejo. - El material se siente más denso que el de las originales, pero me da la sensación de que se pueden llegar a maltratar más rápido - Cabe mencionar que el timbre de los instrumentos se sigue percibiendo igual aunque me da la impresión de que se sienten "diferentes". Mi conclusión: Estas almohadillas sí aportan una pequeña diferencia en el sonido respecto a las originales, ya es cuestión de cada gusto el decidir con cual quedarse; personalmente, tal vez las vaya intercalándolas por temporadas.

I was actually looking for better pads for my Koss KPH30 Wireless and i saw somebody recommend these so i thought i'd try them out. They're bigger and thicker than the original and feel more comfortable on the head. They also open up the sound a bit as the driver is a bit further away from the ear while still keeping the original warm bassy signature.

Bought to modify a pair of Koss headphones, and they worked perfectly. They are decently comfortable, fit well enough to focus the bass, and don't cost silly money.

Besser als die Standart-Ohrpolster die mit den günstigeren Grado's geliefert werden. Verbessern den Komfort ungemein, kann sie nun gut 4h tragen, bevor mir dir Ohren schmerzen, wohlgemerkt mit Brille. Dazu der überaus erschwingliche Preis im vergleich zu den Originalen, obwohl selbst dieser für meinen geschmack zu hoch ist, für so ein bisschen Schaumstoff. Gute Ohrpolster zu einem akzeptablen Preis, kann sie guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.
