ReLIFE: Final Arc [Blu-ray]

Nice to have a conclusion and good ending, but it’s rushed. The Animation is not as good as original
I was happy to have a finished conclusion to the show but it was a bit rushed. Ultimately I’d say it was a good ending without spoilers and to have it wrap up in that way is worth the watch. The animation quality did seem to take a dive in these OVA’s. This isn’t actually season 2 so you’ll notice whether dude to budget or time constraints the animation isn’t on par with the original season 1. Still worth it in my opinion but they need to go ahead and release a set with these OVA’s included, it’s been long enough and it’s only what amounts to 4 episodes.

wrap up of first part of ReLIFE, just as good and needed for completion
Final episodes for ReLIFE. Worth it, (but only when they brought the price to under 10 dollars USD since there are only a few episodes on this disk).Good conclusion, hopeful and satisfying but with hints of more in the future (even if the series has ended at this point, you get that sense that the good being done will continue.)

If you want to read my gripes, go read the First Season review I made.
It is obvious that-- for some reason-- they tried to cut off after a great first season and were forced to come up with the short "finalization" of the story. Buy this and the First Season and have them in hand before you start watching-- the first season really slams into the wall at the end, and you NEED this short finalization of the story. They also did a poor job for the display of chapters and options-- most of the older people got someone younger to read the tiny low contrast wording-- and it NEEDS a way to adjust the ratio of music to dialog so you can really hear the characters when they talk when music is playing. Even so, it is safe for a six year old and a sixty six year old to watch together, and the odds are they both will like it.It really needs one change-- bundle or package The First Season and The Final Arc as one item so you don't wind up going-- uh-- whaaa-- where is the rest of the story? When they had both parts everyone liked it.Even the people who don't like anime liked it..

Funny, touching but predictable; the proper end to ReLife
This is a review of ReLife: Final Arc on blu-ray. This consits of one disk with four episodes (numbered 14 - 17) and a couple of very sort OVAs.Plot - This is the final part of ReLife and was released about 12 months after ReLife. It very rapidly ends the story of Kaizaki Arata and his participation as Number 002 in the ReLife experiment. It also ends with us learning if the ReLife experiment fulfilled its promise to him.Commentary - The final ending is predictable but the final episode is a bit of a tear jerker all the same. I suspect that ReLife was supposed to be two full 13 episode seasons but either the budget or audience numbers didn't allow for the full second season. ReLife needs these four episodes to make it complete even if the final arc is rushed. Ideally this would all have been on the first set of blu-rays as it seems a shame to pay this much for a necessary ending. If you liked ReLife you really will want to see this. It's meaningless on its own though. I enjoyed it immensely as I got the ending I wanted and hoped for.
