As Advertised
Just as advertised about size & design. Have not used it yet to know if it really dampens noise & vibration of my sewing machine. But one side is definitely made to stay in place as it is not easily moved across a table top. Will rate a 5vstar based on exactly as advertised in appearance & immobility on a surface, but can't rate functionality of noise reduction & vibration at this time. Price is ok.

Great sewing machine pads
I have six sewing machines. I bought these for my sergers, embroidery machine and regular machines. They are great. Vibration is much less, noise not so much. Noise isn't an issue for me, but vibration is. Very happy with these and recommend them highly.

Great product
My pedal was always sliding around and at times got caught under the table leg brace and would continue running! This pad stops this from happening, I sew in my breakfast nook which has a tile floor.

Think outside the box for other uses for this mat
I have a new Jeep (without a CD player) and so I decided to have my boom box sitting in the passenger seat, but because of the vibrations from the bad roads the CD skips and sometimes comes to a complete stop. That's why I bought this mat. I think 90% of the road vibrations are taken car of but just in case, I'm buying a second mat to go on top of the first for added protection. I like that one side has a no-slip surface, so that boom box doesn't move on the bucket seat. I don't know about the noise cancellation properties--Jeep Wranglers are a bit loud anyway.

Be careful what surface you place these on. Worked great on my desk but then I moved the mat and machine ontop of a painted surface to store and its ripped up all the paint when tried to lift it off again. Binned now but like I said, great if use correct surface
