Tossed these in my first aid kit in my Jeep. Haven't had a need for them yet but from the looks of them they'll work great.

Used to have a wonderful set of Lister scissors. (Stolen by TSA after 8 years of flying every couple of weeks.) I hoped these new scissors would be a similar replacement. No such luck. Not sharp enough to cut lightweight fabric, just paper. Steel not heavy enough to cut heavy duty fabric or any cardboard stonger than chip board for cereal. Scissors not strong enough nor sharp enough to even do a decent job of trimming fingernails. And, the "foot" is neither large enough, flat enough on underside, nor rounded enough on the top or sides to assure no accidental gouging. However, the standard offset length of the two blades do assure that the scissors are essentially safe to use. I think they would be safe to help a young child practice using scissors. And, they're inexpensive enough that I'd be willing to keep carrying in my purse when flying on a plane.
