This is a good book to add to your collection on the history of the Buffalo Soldiers. Since there is so little history available on the Buffalo Soldies.

The book started off with good rich history and then towards the end it seemed like the author ran out of gutsy history and started talking about sports and musical bands of the calvary

It was all I expected and more. I learned more facts and they were presented in accurate, concise , interesting form. I found it also easy reading for young people.
