Beautiful Alpina Watch
A great Alpina watch that retails for $895. Scored it on Amazon for a fraction of that cost.Appearance: Definitely eye-catching, a real stunner. The sunburst blue dial is gorgeous. I think there is a black and a silver/white dial version in this model, which I’m sure look great in their own respects, but I am glad I made the choice of blue. It just really pops. The polished case and stainless steel band look great, and the Alpina logo on the dial / crown add great finishing touches. The back of the case having the Alpina inscription and mountain look are really cool.Functionality: I am a big proponent of the date window being at the 6 o’clock position on the dial rather than 3 o’clock with a magnifying window (just a personal preference of mine). Movement seems to be as advertised, accuracy is good. Easy to see hands and has good lume to it.Case Sizing: Personally, I think it’s perfect. I have pretty small wrists as a male, but it fits me well. Not clunky, but not small.Further Comments: As others have mentioned, it is rather challenging getting links removed to re-size the band to your liking, even with the right tools at your disposal. Not impossible, but the process will require some patience if you’re doing it manually. No arrows on the links pointing to the direction to remove them. I figured it out, but I can see how that process could/will be frustrating to others. But once you remove a link or two, you’ll get the hang of it.Final Thoughts: This is a great looking Alpina that looks and acts like a higher-end luxury watch, at a fraction of the cost (at least in my buying experience). In this price range, you won’t find much better. I highly recommend it, but be prepared for a bit of frustration if you’re a bit inexperienced in removing links!

Great watch!
This simple quartz powered watch quite literally shocked me with its value!Pros:+Great size (not too big or too small)+Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating+Reliable ETA quartz movement+Swiss Made history with Alpina brand+Date window at 6 o’clock, that I think balances the dial quite well+Lovely applied indices, that play with the light in a pretty cool way+Solid but comfortable bracelet+Water resistance of 100 meters+Screw down crown that seems to be the perfect size+Smooth bezel that adds nicely to the overall look of the watch+Versatile design (could be dress, casual, or sporty)Cons:-Lug width of 21 mm (limiting strap options)-Butterfly clasp (not terrible, but a clasp with micro adjusts would have been nice)-Not an automatic watchThis could quite literally be a one, go anywhere, do anything type watch. An automatic version of this watch could seriously be THE watch to have. As it is though, this quartz watch is great, and is quickly putting other watches out of my rotation.I love how it has the dial design combination of the Oris Aquis and the Omega Aqua Terra.Awesome find!

Doesn't work
This was my second attempt to purchase this watch. I returned the first one because it didn't work. Unfortunately, this one doesn't work either. It's a beautiful Paperweigh, but I want to use it as a watch. Not going to try for a third time. Will buy it elsewhere.

Great Value for Swiss Brand
Very nice, however one thing I would mention is the silver watch band/bracelet just feels cheep. My silver bracelet watch on an Armani (not Swiss) has an extremely higher quality feel. May have to upgrade the watch’s bracelet. Overall it’s a super value at $237!!! I paid $310 three days before the price was reduced but Amazon would not reimburse me the difference. They also sent me this watch where the battery was dead but reduced the price 20% so approximately $62 less, however I paid $28 to get a new battery put in the day I received it. Was a pain!

It’s just okay.
This watch looks pretty good until you pick it up. Then it feels pretty cheap. The band makes weird noises, the days window might as well be absent because it’s so very tiny. One must squint to read the date. Seems like an afterthought. This could be a dec not value if under $200.

Beautiful watch
Very nice watch! It came fully stickered with box, papers and hang tag. Don't always get those with watches on line. Will be getting more Alpina watches. Also, it came days earlier than estimated delivery date

I would recommend this purchase.
What I like the most about this watch is the finishing and the 9.4mm thickness making this time piece elegant. This brand has an illustrious history as well as making time pieces built to last.
