I'm 5.95ft tall, waist 37.5 inches, chest 44.3 inches, weight 190lb. what size i should order? large or x-large?

Get absolutely the biggest available. They run undersize. I am 5'7", 145 lb and got Medium. I wish I had gotten large. With a very heavy sweater, the coat is tight. Otherwise it is outstanding - it is warm, it is tough, it is waterproof. But they do run very small.

Does the hood zip off?

Yes the hood zips off. But a good cap under the hood and you will not fill the cold

Did anyone who bought this coat actually try to wash it? Did the insulation get bunched up or messed up? Did it lose its ability to keep out cold?

I've had the jacket for 3 years and probably washed it 20 times and it still is the same as when I first got it. Love it it's so warm
