Works great, no issues
Applied these a few months ago and they work as expected, no better or worse than the factory ones. If you are new to replacing your gaskets, just take the lid completely off and make sure you clean the rims extremely thoroughly. Start with a scraper to remove the old one and any excess adhesive. Then follow up with a degreaser and a wire brush. Keep wiping it off with paper towels and scrubbing. Once it's clean, wipe it down a few more times with Simple Green or another surface cleaner, then follow up with rubbing alcohol to remove any residual oils and moisture. The paper towels should come out clean, no brown or black should be wiping off. If they aren't coming out clean, keep cleaning until they do. BBQ pits are very, very dirty, so expect to spend 30-60 minutes doing this, depending on how dirty yours is and how many remnants of the old gasket/adhesive are left behind. It sucks, but you should only have to do it every 5 years or so. Applying the new gaskets is pretty easy, just slowly peel the backing off as you are pressing it on the rim. do not remove the backing all at once or it could stick to the side of the BGE or to itself, which could potentially ruin them. Just slowly remove a couple inches at a time. Do not stretch or compress it, just push it straight down. When you get to the end of the circle, cut it with a scissors, but give yourself an inch of extra slack. Incrementally cut small pieces off until it's exactly the right length. Do this very deliberately because you don't want any gap or overlap. Repeat for the other rim. When they're both in place, spend a couple minutes pressing down very firmly with your hands, all the way around. Reattach lid and close it. I like to let it sit for at least a day before using, to give the adhesive time to bond. It may sound like I'm being obsessive here, but having screwed up BGE gaskets a couple times, I'm telling you all of this from experience. I've had a BGE for nearly 20 years. I've replaced them 6 times and screwed up 2 of those times. The surface preparation is critical to adhesion. Gaps, overlap or compromising the adhesive can and will lead to leaks or even the gaskets completely falling off. Negative reviews are most likely a result of inadequate cleaning or bunching/stretching the gaskets. It is a dirty and annoying job, so do it right the first time, because you don't want to have to do it again a couple months down the road.

Very good Quality
I used the Nomex Gasket kit for my flowerpot smoker and it worked flawlessly. Easy to install, created a great seal and was a good price.

Lasted 9 Years
I just ordered another one, after 9 years. The original LavaLock I purchased back in 2016 was a replacement for the OE gasket that came with my BGE. The original BGE gasket only made it about 5 years before it needed to be replaced. The LavaLock gasket never let smoke/heat out, etc., even after 9 years. The only reason I'm replacing the gasket is because I'm building an outdoor kitchen, so, to move it from my old mobile BGE table to the new outdoor kitchen by myself, I needed to take the dome off. When I did, I noticed that the 9-year-old LavaLock gasket wasn't adhering as well as it originally did. Great product. It's nice to still have some products available that are well-made and durable.

Package says “…BGE ceramic lid top new”? Just for the lid?
(See amended review below) I bought based upon reviews. Description clearly says for full gasket replacement on large Big Green Egg. Package received is 7” diameter roll of 1/8” thick x 7/8” wide material. Says LAVALOCK on label and “Nomex High-temp Replacement Gasket BGE Ceramic Lid Top New”. That sure makes it sound like lid only right? So I wondered if I was missing something. This is my first gasket replacement on my large BGE, so didn’t know exactly what I needed size wise. Couldn’t reach seller & not replacing gasket until winter weather improves. Nothing in package that explains. Apparently if it’s 15 feet it will be enough. Why would package say “BGE Top Lid” and have no insert explaining it will be enough material to do top, bottom & chimney gasket? Poor package description. I hope it’s real NOMEX. Will amend review if I hear from seller. Amended review 03/27/2023: I didn't wait any longer to replace the gasket with this Lavarock Nomex roll. Was cold weather and I read its best for temp to be 55+. Had a semi warm weekend so did the dirty deed. YES THERE IS PLENTY OF MATERIAL FOR UPPER AND LOWER GASKET ON A LARGE BGE. It sure didn't appear so, but there was plenty with enough left for one trip around the chimney. TIP: Please take the time to very carefully prepare the old surface, Gasket may come off easily, but getting a good clean surface so the gasket will stick and properly cure is a challenge. Working in 6-8 inch sections dampen with acetone, scrape & wipe. Get all the old glue and residue off. I even went ahead and used 120 grit sandpaper on a block of wood to better smooth out and rough up the surface a bit. My gasket stuck well. Last - description really should not include "...Big Green Egg Ceramic Lid TOP" Why not say kit for top, bottom and chimney. Then buyers have no worry.

No problems for Large Big Green Egg
Replaced OEM with this and it works great. Plenty of tape for the bottom, top, and cap. Quality seems as good as OEM or better. Can't beat the price. One long roll. Just cut as you use. Get a can of Acetone, pour it on old gasket and it will peal off like an old band aid. Use a paint scraper, get it all off. Wipe it dry. Wait 1 minute and starting from the back unroll it. When you reach the end clip it slowly to get a perfect fit. Don't pull or stretch while laying down. After complete push down on tape with round part of screwdriver post.

Great value, worked perfectly
After reading mixed reviews, i decided to try it, it is just a piece of sticky felt and I didnt see the need in spending big bucks on it. If it isnt sticking, then I assume you didnt clean the bge well enough for it to stick. I spent about an hour scrubbing and scraping using degreaser, then cleaned it with rubbing alcohol. It applied easily i just used my finger on the inside edge as a guide and peeled the backing as i went. Pulled it tight as I went but didn't stretch it. Made a perfect seal and stuck so far. Installed on a saturday morning, then that night started a 7 hour smoke .... worked perfect, stuck perfect. Overlapped the edges then trimmed them down with a razor to get a tight fit at the seam.

Great for sealing gaps in a smoker set up
I bought this to help seal the lid of a barrel-style smoker. This gasket is designed to seal the lid of an egg-style smoker (where the lid rest directly along the lip of the body), but it worked very well on my barrel-smoker (where the lid overlaps the slightly smaller body). The overlap on my old smoker varied quite a bit, but this gasket did a great job conforming to the gap difference. I noticed an immediate difference in the oxygen flow through my smoker (which has an offset charcoal burner). The reduced oxygen flow means that it's easier to maintain lower heat, you have slower fuel consumption, and you get more smokey flavor in your food. The product is easy to apply; just peel the sticker tape off the back and put it on. It cuts easily to size. And with just a little pressing down, it adheres well. Although I didn't use this for the type of smoker it was designed for, it still did a great job.

Vision C series or S series kamdo, this will work
this is enough to do both lid surfaces and chimney with an extra 18" to spare. Haven't tried it yet, but it seems like decent quality. 4 stars as the adhesive feels like it wants to pull away. I'm sure after a decent smoke to set it it'll stay in place. I don't expect more than 2 years from a gasket, but will be pleased if I get a 3rd

Does not fit mini max
Despite what the sellers said in the Q & A, this is not a proper fit for mini max. It’s too wide.
