Also if customs hadn’t messed up, the delivery would have been much faster than I expected living offshore I’m getting a second. I use these at events and for kids parties and 1 holds up well in a hall or outdoors with 30 kids. The QTX QR15PA has a claimed battery life of up to 8 hours. This is for low listening levels and speech only. For music you're probably looking at around 6 hours. **Q: Can I use a tie mike with this system? If so what additional items would I need to buy?** A: It has a 6.3mm mic input socket or a phone input (that I use for my iPod) so you connect a wireless or wired tie-clip mic that has with 6.3mm jack (or add a convertor from 3.5mm) or phono output. **Q: Can someone tell me if the charging light should stay on (orange) when plugged in or whether it only stays on for a minute and then goes out?** A: light stays on when charging and turns off when charged.. if your light goes off after a min or so its either fully charged or there is a loose connection. would suggest you let it completely drain and then recharge, if light goes off after a min or so then there is a fault.. but leave it charging for a few hours to see if battery is at fault. **Q: Does the speaker come with a stand?** A: No, there is no stand included with the speaker. Wheels, pull handle and microphones less good, but also less essential *by A***R on 14 October 2025* I use this for dance classes. I find the sound is good and the Bluetooth connection reliable. I've had it for more than a year and it still performs well. I don't use the microphones that come with it - I find they have poor range and I struggle with feedback with them. The wheels have disintegrated - it is a weird design to put such tiny wheels so close together - very wobbly to pull along and they haven't coped with being used so regularly. This is rather unfortunate because the speaker is heavy. It does have a grab handle on one side which is use. The pull handle has stuck so is not easy to use any more.
