I've been using this since my son was born 8 years ago, for both of us. First, it's not toxic like many other products. It's a barrier sunblock. Second, it really really works. I have never ever gotten a burn while wearing this, and my son has never in his 8 years experienced a sunburn thanks to this product. The downside is that it's a little harder to rub in than regular sunblocks, but that doesn't bother me much. It does rub in eventually, even to adult satisfaction. You also have to be careful because it's white until rubbed in and will get on clothing. It comes out in the wash, though. It has not permanently stained any of my swimsuits. I also wear this for sports outdoors when I sweat a lot, and it has never stung my eyes. It also doesn't come off in the pool - I don't reapply, and still don't get burned, and neither does my son even though I only put it on him in the morning and sometimes he's at camp in the pool all day. It's really a great product for parents who want to put something safe and effective on their kids.

This is by far the best sunscreen I have ever purchased. I have kids who are allergic to sunscreen. Their eyes itch/burn/run and so does their nose. They look like they have a bad cold every time I was putting on sunscreen. I couldn't figure out what was happening (this happened with every brand, I tried them all out there)until my sister in law turned me on to California Baby. This sunscreen not only, works REALLY WELL but doesn't irritate them. It is also very low on the EWG list of harmful sunscreens (i think it is rated a 1 or 2) I have been using it for years now. This is the ONLY brand that is in our house. We call it "Liquid Gold". It is costly, but it is worth the money. To have the kids be able to play in the sun without worry is so nice. We have been to the beach many time with it and they get NO TAN! Actually, none of us get red. I missed a few spots on my back with the sunscreen and was on the beach. By the time we went home, I had Huge red marks from the spots that I missed with sunscreen, but the other places that got the sunscreen had nothing. I actually had an outline from where my fingers missed! It really blocks the sun. I am so happy and thankful, there is a company out there that actually cares about my kids. We use all California Baby products on my kids! Safe and effective, what more can you want??

This product is nontoxic and safe. It goes on very thick and only a little goes a long way. I bought it for myself as adult to use on my face. However it turns my face white and does not blend.

I used this all of last summer on my baby who was under 9 months old. I was especially hesitant to use regular sunscreens at her young age since their skin absorbs everything. This has a great EWG rating, so I felt better knowing we were using something safe for her. It isn't always possible to wear long sleeves and a hat outside (we usually had a hat on her at least), so I needed this for extra protection. Additionally, my family likes to vacation at a cabin by a lake here in Utah. We like to joke there is a hole in the ozone in that area because EVERYONE gets terrible sunburns there. I am proud to say my baby did not even suffer from somewhat pink skin after using this sunscreen even after a full day outside. It is a little thick to put on and left her skin a little white, but honestly it is so worth it to keep her safe from chemicals and sunburns. Overall, I am a very happy momma and will continue to use this sunscreen in future years.

This is the only sunscreen we buy. Our whole family uses it, including my husband, who has to be especially careful due to skin cancer on his face and back. This is actually a sunblock, rather than a chemical sunscreen that goes into the skin. It's great for people with sensitive skin, and it's safe for any age. Plus, it really works!

First off, this tiny tiny tube is extremely expensive (no matter what the price and who sells it as it always come up to 20 bucks a pop due to shipping). I think I am regulated to just use it on my face and use some so-so sunscreen on the rest of my body, no way this stuff is economically valuable for a family. You'll go bankrupt. Anyways for you rich folk out there, this stuff is fantastic. Goes on super easy and absorbs just as well with minimal to non-existent white layer left over. That or I am not applying enough. I have no qualms with application. I would already assuming this is highly rated according to EWG in terms of non-cancer causing chemicals. But hey, if you're looking at this sunscreen you already know that =). Overall, if you use sunscreen everyday (which you should) this stuff will bankrupt you fairly quickly if anyone else in your family uses it.
