The plug is way over priced but It's exactly what I needed for my ipod because as soon as I plugged it into the usb the Alpine recognized the ipod and presto I have music! One thing I should mention, for some strange reason album art is not displyed on the LCD. Not sure if it has something to do with the plug or my ipod (it's the ipod touch 2nd gen) or my Alpine. Will update this review as soon as I find out whats causing no album art on LCD. Pros - it worked with my Alpine ida-x305s as stated. Cons- way over priced. UPDATE - The Plug is fine, the Alpine radio is fine, and the plug indeed displays album art! Will recommend this plug for those of you who need one for their Alpine ida-x305s.

Works just as good as the old one did
Works just as good as the old one did. Which is to say it works great lets me use the iPod interface again. It also has those blasted lock cables that stick all the time. Still got my system working.

I hate Alpine.
These are becoming increasingly hard to find. I hate Alpine... But that IDA-X305s is a really great head unit. This part works with the Apple 13 pin adapter to lightning, so I can use it with my iphone 6s plus.
