Brass Punch Set, Hammer Bench Block Kit | Gunsmithing, Gun Repair Tools Kit With Steel, Plastic for Armorers, Watch, Jewelry, and Craft

Bought this set so I could stop borrowing my dads. The three smallest punches all showed up bent. Both punches that were small enough to remove my glock pins broke before I could get all 3 pins out of the gun, sending the punch tip flying and driving the punch handle into the gun, leaving a nice big scrape in the frame. The punches aren't long enough to go all the way through a glock either, so you need a longer punch set to fully remove any stuck pins anyway. Since my shotguns and 1911 are thicker than my glock the punches are useless. You'll also need to locktite the mallet tips or the brass tip will unscrew in about 3 swings no matter how hard you screw it on. After writing this review I went back and looked at all the reviews with pictures and it's clear all the 5-star reviews never used the set by their staged pictures. Then I checked the 5-star reviews without pictures and it's super odd that most of them all use the exact same verbiage. This product is clearly a scam. Stay away.

Straight garbage and not for gun. First pin bent on the first strike.

The brass punches are for my marksmanship equipment. When i was younger, i would completely take down my tools and search for wear and tear. Time constraints in later life have reduced my doing so. All of my kids are grown now and I can again return to using these fine tools for my retirement. This replacement set is perfect with its soft roll up carry case. I can take it in the field if need to for maintaining my tools.Thank you for making such a fine product.Sincerely Kevin W.

These punches are very well-made, nicely finished and a good price. Brass punches are a must-have for drifting gun sights, etc., and these fit the bill without costing so much that you can't afford other necessities. The included hammer and hard rubber square tabletop protector are a nice touch, too.

Nice punch set. The hammer works great small enough to control the force in your strike, while still having enough heft to deliver a harder strike if necessary. Rubber block comes in handy for a many different gunsmithing task. Also came with a cleaning brush perfect for gun cleaning. The only change i would make is to the packaging of the punches. So they would be better protected during shipping.

I always wanted a set of brass punches for delicate work on instruments, guns, etc. These seem like they will do the trick. The included hammer and rubber block are nice extras. A nice addition to my toolbox.

I am getting into gun smithing as a hobby. I saw this punch set with a rubber mat and a hammer at a great price. I bought it and wow I got a way better set than the price point. Very good quality. I highly recommend this product.

These look like good punches. The case was not exactly what I was expecting - just a pouch, not different pockets to keep the punches in order.One thing, upon opening the package there was a very strong odor. Not like oil or a plastic smell from the pouch - it actually smelled like gun cleaning solvent to me. I don't mind that smell so much as I do spend time cleaning my firearms - my wife on the other hand was not so pleased.I've left them to air out in a spare room and expect I will have to wash everything and let fully dry to try to reduce the odor.

It's the best in the whole wide world.

They seem great so far, comes with hammer, a carry bag, rubber block and a nylon brush.
