Rubie's Women's Star Wars Classic Deluxe Princess Leia Costume

I am usually a size L but I ordered the XL because this costume is supposed to be loose and I'd rather have to take it in than try to let it out. I am 5'7 for height reference and the gown does not reach my ankles but still seems long enough. The gown is a thick and 100% polyester. The fabric is actually slightly glittery up close, but it isn't noticeable from conversation distance. The hood is nice and big like in the movie and the sleeves are big and long without being inconvenient. The gown is slightly sheer despite being thick, so make sure you have a slip or at least skin color matching underwear. The belt has velcro fastening the back, it fits me well but I am very hourglass. The XL belt is 33" around when fully closed, because of the length of the velcro strip you could have it tighter or looser. The wig looks great but was too small for my head. My head is 23" around and I have long thick hair, so this may not be a problem for most people. The side buns on the wig are fairly small, nowhere near as big as in the movie.Each bun is 3.5 inches across. Out of the package the costume smells strongly of formaldehyde, so I would recommend a gentle wash on cold for the dress and a line airing out for all of it. This is a nice option for a Princess Leia's A New Hope costume if you don't want to have to make it from a pattern. For reference I am not wearing the wig in the photo of me in the costume. Since my hair is long and dark brown I will make my own cinnamon roll hair buns. The gun in the picture is a nerf gun I modded and does not come with the costume.

I love this dress so much, it looks so authentic. I am 5'0 and 110 pounds, I ordered a medium because I has previously ordered a small and they sent me a short dress. The medium fits amazing. It goes to the bottoms of my toes and it has room to be bunched up at the top like the real Leia's. It is the perfect amount of flowy. I heard some people saying it was see-through, but if you wear a tan tshirt bra and a white thong no one can tell. I am so satisfied and I am glad I ordered this even after the mix up.

I'm 5'7" and 150lbs with a muscular build. I generally wear size 6 in dresses---so smalls and mediums depending. I read the reviews and decided to go with the large because I was afraid the dress would be too short and I wanted the material to be looser to match Leia's look. It worked well. Glad I got the large as the dress comes to my ankles. Medium would have been too short. The large is loose on me as well, so I have the look I am looking for. It is see-through, so I will have to wear a slip under the robe. I'll also have to iron it as it came pretty wrinkled--but that didn't surprise me.The wig is crap, but that's fine. I'm just going to style my own hair like Leia's.The belt is good enough--though I wish I could make it a little tighter/more secure. I'll figure that out.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. It's decent quality for what I paid and I don't look immodest.I'll try to remember to post a picture of it when I'm all done up.

I'm 4' 11" tall, about 110 lbs. The costume fit great! I wore it with flat boots. Based the other reviews, I bought the medium for a size up so the costume would be more flowy instead of form fitting. My issues were there was a dark line on the back of the hood that was seen on the inside and outside of the costume. But I figured it was on the back of the hood so no one would notice. The costume is pretty see-through so you just have to make sure to wear appropriate undergarments. The wig was a little small for my head. The hair buns were also small. But with the hood up, it's not very noticeable. I had to bobby pin the hood to the wig because it would consistently be blown away while I was walking. I also spray painted the belt silver to look more like the movie. Overall, it's a great costume.

I was skeptical with some of the reviews and was afraid it would not fit. I took a chance and ordered this for a family Halloween costume and it was perfect for my needs!the dress fit well. it has a little shimmer to it. It was roomy without being too bulky. Im 5'3" and it was not too long! The dress is a little sheer, so definitely wear layers. I wore a pair of white capri leggings and a white shirt underneath.The wig is a little wonky. the buns are kinda small but the hood hides it all well without losing the character.The belt was a bit snug. I bought a plus size costume supposed to fit up to size 20. I don't know....it wont happen for those on the larger size of the spectrum if it was snug on me.overall the costume works for my needs and I recommend it.

I tried the "sluttly" white Leia costume first because I like the tighter fit and it is cheaper, but that was SOOOOO poorly made - seams not lined up, completely shear, all around cheap/trashy looking. I decided to try this one to see if it was any better and it is worth the extra $$$. This outfit fit amazingly and was much better quality!! I'm 5'3 and 112 lbs and the Small fits nicely! I like that the material is thick enough to where I don't need a slip and has a little sparkle up close, the seams all line up, and the hood is really cool. The sleeves were long too - in a good way, pretty much fit like the picture. The belt was nice as well. For some of these reviews saying it didn't fit, I wonder if they were trying to put it on their hips instead of waist? Again MUCH better belt than the other white Leia costume.My one complaint is the wig - the buns are more like mini-donuts than cinnamon rolls like her hair. I'm picky though, and want to look as legit as possible. I will probably just sock-bun my hair since it's brown now, but I am currently re-working this wig to see if I can fix it. I have pulled apart the buns thus far and just straightened the wig with hot water. I will try to re-form a bigger/better Leia bun with it tomorrow. I will be sure to update this review and maybe add a pic if it works!

I wasn't expecting much, fancy dress is never good value for money, but it's difficult to find this outfit at a good price. I also stupidly didn't look at the sizing and bought small, but should have got medium as although the outfit fitted the belt didn't. All that aside, the outfit is see through as it's so flimsy, and I had to do the side buns myself as the wig wouldn't fit my head and cover my hair, so I basically paid 50 pounds for a see through shapeless dress - the hood part looks good though.

Cant seem to contact seller directly. Its just arrived and arms are different lengths. One is excessively longer than the other by 4 inches. Disappointed as its for my sons birthday. I expect better from a Disney costume.Costume is rather long and baggy and i got a Medium, i am now wondering what the size difference is with Standard size when measurements displayed are the same?With the belt length and bagginess become ok. Chokes my neck a bit. Cant comment on wig.

This is worth the money for sure!!! The fabric is soft and has a faint shimmer to it, which doesn't look tacky in the slightest. The outfit looks almost exactly like Leia's in a New Hope. The hood looks fantastic as well, and the belt looks great and the velcro on the neck and the belt is pretty handy.I only have a few complaints. One, the dress/robe is a little short? I'm 5'6'' and ordered a Large so it would look more loose, which it did, but it only hit my ankles when it should be a little longer. Another complaint I have is with the wig. It fit my head decently enough, but there were chunks of short hair and the buns looked nothing like Leia's. It's also glued in place so don't do what I did and try to take them out. The wig... well it looks awful now, but that's my fault. I'm going to try and salvage it though lol. Would definitely recommend this product for a convention or any other occasion though! I'd also recommend going a size up from your regular clothing size (i.e. I'm a medium 10-12 so I went for a large which is 14-16).

This is just what I wanted. I'm 5'2, between a 10 and 12. It fits perfectly - nice and comfortable and, for what it is, well made. A bit expensive considering that I won't be getting too much wear out of it...

For that money I expected much higher quality.. and Im totally disappointed. Size Large is to small for UK14-16 (not enough extra room), it is too short for 172cm height person, the wig is really small and the stitches are bad quality. It is no worth more than typical cheep fancy dress.
