Great, less expensive substitute for Coravin Argon capsules at about 1/3 less cost. You have to remove the black plastic cap from a genuine Coravin capsule by soaking an empty one in acetone (inexpensive pint available at any hardware store) for several hours or overnight then using a plyers remove the cap to use on this substitute however it works extremely well. Save your last 2 Coravin capsules when empty so you have a cap to use & a spare. No leaks or problems for me. Must mention that I love my Coravin & have bought 2 as gifts however their proprietary gas capsules are too expensive. If they met the price of these I'd purchase them again however I don't see that happening.

Do not try to use this with Coravin system. These cartridges do not have the seal that the Coravin system needs in order to function. When you try to use these cartridges, the entire capsule is immediately drained of argon, and becomes useless. If you have a Coravin system, buy their own capsules in order for it to work.

These cylinders contain very little Argon gas volume. After a couple of uses you can hear the pressure is getting low. Time to 'go industrial' and visit the local air-gas distributor - the Pek application unit is very elegant, but at the end of the day all you need to do is 'pour' a little Argon gas over the wine.

First cartridge seal broke upon insert and released all gas. Fine since then with others. The argon, as a neutral gas, creates a great layer to prevent open bottles from further oxidizing.

I love my argon gas system. It really extends the life of a bottle. The price is good not great

Exactly what I needed. Priced very well. Works perfect with my wine preservation equipment.
