It's shorter than I'd like it to be or than I thought it would or should be. This is a men's garment after all. It doesn't even go to the top of my hip bones. Secondly, I took the advice of the ratings on sizing and got the xxl - since I'm a 6' tall female with a medium to large bone structure. It fit across my shoulders (but it's open) and was incredibly wide everywhere else. If I'd gotten the next size down it would have been way too short. It's short as it is and it hasn't been washed - I perish the day.I've been carefully washing clothes my whole life in fear of shrinking and still haven't found a way to avoid it entirely. So tall over all or in the torso? The material is a little funny, though, as the picture is misleading. Instead of a thick, regular hoodie type material, it feels like that kind of material that they use to make kids Halloween costumes with, which is fine for me.
