Q: I just received this item and it was not packaged in plastic. Was yours? I want to make sure mine isn't used / returned.

I bought mine as a returned item so im not sure if it comes in plastic. Other tempurpedic products ive bought (i.e mattress topper) have been vacuum sealed and compacted in plastic though.

Q: how much does the topper weigh ? Tempurpedic doesnt know when i called them

Total weight is 18 lbs (measured, not a guess) Roller case weighs 5 lbs, pillow weighs 1.5 lbs, topper weighs 11.5.

Q: Would this be considered a firm temperpedic mattress or more on the softer side?

The sleeping mat is firm to the touch but when you lie on it, it conforms to your body. I sleep on this every night without the pain in my bones i had previously sleeping on a memory foam mattress topper.
